I spent 3 days overland adventuring through the Black Rock Desert / High Rock Canyon of Nevada.
Things to know before venturing into this region :
This area is the high desert, 5000-6000 feet. Plan for cold and windy conditions.
The roads are rough and rock strewn, insure you have good MT tires.
Sunscreen and lots of it
This area is remote, not only for its remoteness to any near asphalt, but also to services. The nearest "big city" is Sparks or Reno which is over 3 hours away, across some very rough country..

Great Video. Remember no fires directly on the playa. You should have something between your fire and the playa floor.
