Awesome video Greg, so cool to see Justin and Stephen on this trip with you! Wish I could have made it but I was there with you in spirit! Some cool overlanding rigs in that video, cant wait to see how the setup goes on the new RTT! 👍
Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! This was an awesome trip - - hanging out with Justin and Stephen was such a great time! Thank you for watching and for your comment! I really appreciate it! 😀
Thank you for watching! I really appreciate it! And also for your comment. Ya, the Rivian did really well - I was also impressed. It was a great trip and incredible camp spot! Thank you again for your kind words!
Another great video! Thanks for sharing your experience. The scenery along that river was spectacular. I wish there were more off-road and overlanding grounds in my area. I'm leading a group of friends at the Tuttle Creek Off-road Area near Manhattan, Kansas on the 25th. It's a good adventure for people of all skill sets. That bear was a bonus! In seen two bears in the wild. The first was a juvenile black bear while backpacking in the Sainte DeChristo mountain range in Colorado, and the second was a grizzly bear along the road near the Grand Tetons back in June.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the kind words and support!! Yikes!! A grizzly! That’s a next-level type of bear sighting! 👀 Hope you have a great trip! Thanks again for watching and for commenting!! 😃👊🏼🙌🏼👏🏼
So i grew up in Reno and have been all over NV and Northern Cli but have never seen any of the Carson River. Any hint on which rd you started in on off the highway?
Yes! You are 100% correct! That is the video that inspired me to take Justin and Stephen out to this location. The spot that 395jnky, Mike & BB went to was just down river about 1/4 mile. It's such an awesome area! Thank you for watching and for your comment! I really appreciate it! 😀

Great video! B Roll and interviews were awesome. So happy Steve is out there in his Rivian showing what it can do. I was cooking in my camper watching this live in my F-150 Lightning and charging it up at the same time. I keep my Bronco for serious trails, but let’s just say my Lightning and Four Wheel Camper both have pin strips all over. 😂 Time to hit some more trails.

Fantastic that you had a mountain puppy come say hello! Anyone that brings a whole cake on a camping trip is someone I want to camp with. That spot down by the river looks like exactly what all of us would want (especially those of us with fly rods). I lived in NV when I was a little kid, seems like there are some spots I missed that are worth exploring for sure.
Ya man, Nevada has such an incredible variety of terrain. That river spot is just so amazing. And, ya, that bear was so cool to see. He was a good size - which was a little freaky, but we kept a decent distance! Thanks for watching an for the comment! 😀
How does a video cost 41k???? I know what you meant, but you're grammar is horrible. Read properly "I just watched a video of a dent repair on a Rivian bed, cost to repair was 41k" It's not hard!! 😂
I've watched all 3 versions of this trip. Totally excited to see @chargedoverland getting out there and showing what our trucks can do. I did enjoy your drone footage! @@TrailNewbie
@@dominicwilkerson oh! Right on! Ya, Stephen really didn’t hesitate at all to get after it. While the video may not fully show it - the trail is a 7 out of 10 on OnX. Great question! Rivian’s have a very high range on their battery - at least Stephen from Charge Overland told me his did, perhaps that’s an upgrade? I think he gets around 325 miles to each charge. So, you have to be careful and plan your charging accordingly. That being said, he had plenty of charge for this trip, and for reference, a Jeep with a full tank of gas has around 300 miles or so. So, it’s not that much different. But when you get back to civilization, you likely need to find a charger quick with an EV. Thanks for watching and for the comment! I really appreciate it!🙌🏼🙏🏼👊🏼😃

I love being able to watch videos back years later - I’m looking forward to re-watching these 20 years from now! The behind the scenes is truly funny. I don't mean to me a naysayer about the Rivian but I just saw a video yesterday about a Rivian owner who had a boo boo in the rear corner of the truck bed. A local body shop quoted an INSANE amount for the repair. The owner actually opted to flatbed the truck to Florida for a more reasonable paintless dent removal repair.
Oh wow! Ya, not sure about cost of repairs! But I’m sure they being as Rivians are so new, many shops are not able to handle some of the repairs that come in. With increased uniqueness of a vehicle comes unique issues for sure! And likely increased cost. 🙂
rivian should not be on trails a little damage cost more than the car and also the electric range is just bad I dont know about this being an offroad worthy car
The damage thing is a decent point. I have been hearing that repairs are costly due to the vehicle being so specialized and new. Regarding the range - actually, this truck that was with me has a range of 315 miles. Which is as good or in many cases better than regular gas vehicles. Based on what I saw, it was a good off road performing vehicle, possibly with some improvements to be made over the years. 😁
