All that is left is a Metroid DLC somehow and Dead Cells would be the first rogulite metroidvania in history to actually have had contact with its genre’s direct inspirations.
It would only be available in the Nintendo Switch port though.

Good lord the OST is a trip down memory lane with a some twists to it. So getting the DLC once it is available in my region - hopefully once I get off work lol

I've been playing this game on mobile since it's release , it's a shame that the updates aren't as frequent as the PC version

I feel that bosses of this game are similar to bosses in other Metroidvania games in attacking styles, e.g 0:30 Death (Specter Knight in Shovel Knight), 6:00 Dracula (Troupe Master Grimm in Hollow Knight)
Other way around, castlevania came first
I'm not entirely sure about Specter Knight, but for Grimm, it's the other way around :D Both Grimm and this incarnation of Dracula were based on classic Dracula movesets from earlier Castlevania games.
Dracula first form takes more clues from the Order of Ecclesia version of the fight and the second form is like Abaddon's second form from Curse of the Moon 2.
Dawg Specter Knight was literally based off of Death and Dracula has had generally the same attacking moves since the 1980's 😐
The comment section has shown me that a LOT of people haven't had the chance to play any proper Castlevanias.
Most of them havent even heard of it apart from the anime version

It hurts to see that the best Castlevania game since LoS1 is Dead Cells DLC.

oui effectivement je suis sur le 1BC sur dracula j'ai mis le checkpoint pour apprendre les moov du boss il est assez complexe quand même. 😠 J'ai 6 en brutalité 27 en tactique et 3 en survie et je joue pyro et yimi doré /bombe à huile et leghugger mais j'essaie d'apprendre les moov du boss ;) heureusement y a les checkpoint sa aide beaucoup au lieu de recommencer à chaque fois. Après il faut savoir doser le "Mode soutien" sinon y a aucun plaisir donc moi j'utilise le mode checkpoint 👌🏼😍 merci #MotionTwin ❤️ 🦊

They made dracula way more menacing boss than the actual castlevania games. Unlike the castlevania dracula boss, here hes got more artillery up on his sleeves to memorize the pattern of the attack
that's not because of dracula actually. it is because we have so much power in castlevania games, more linear castlevania games has harder dracula fight actually.

Because the two themes used for Dracula, Illusionary Dance and Simon's Theme, were the boss themes against Dracula in Rondo of Blood and Super Castlevania IV already.

Yeah, because Grimm is a reference to Dracula. Look at the earlier Castlevania games and you'll see a lot of similarities between the two, except Castlevania existed 20 years before Hollow Knight.

@@Landon_Young Going for damage is how the game was designed. If you skip one curse in 5bc you’re going to sit in a fight for 10 minutes. If you struggle, use assist mode.

Dead Cell’s version of Bloody tears is meh.
Bloody Tears is fucking everywhere when it comes to anything about Castlevania. I'll never understand why this mediocre music is overused and popular in the first place. There are more Castlevania music which are much better than Bloody Tears. This shit alone even made it into the Netflix series but not other great music.
