I always think that travel is made easier when you have the best travel gear and essentials too. The bento bag from Nomad Lane is my best carry-on bag for travels like this. Thought I'd share it with you, too! 😉
I got packing cubes last year and love them. They are particularly great to keep my teens organised (underwear/nightwear in one and tops in one). I love the fact you can pop them in hotel drawers without fully unpacking. I got my teens gadget organisers, definitely need one myself. Love planning my packing but hate unpacking 😩

Love an organised suitcase, thank you for sharing that. When travelling overseas, do you also pack a neck pillow or a blanket. I've heard it can get cold on the plane. I can't decide what's better a tote bag or a backpack.
I have my massive winter coat with me so that acts as my blanket but I usually take a scarf with me. I do have a neck pillow as well which is super helpful. Its memory foam so if it needs to be shoved in a bag it can kind of squish down 😊
If it has not been said already, keep and pack your jewellery in your carry on, do not pack it in your suitcase to check-in. Keep your most valuable pieces on you by wearing or keeping them in your purse. Be careful. A tip from a boss’s wife who shared it with me and other bosses’ wives. I knew of a college student who had their laptop and a huge amount of cash stolen from their suitcase they checked in. Thank goodness these days for debit bank cards. At your destination, keep your valuables locked up in your suitcases and carry-on cases neatly away at the places you are staying at. A travel group I was with in Italy, a couple of members had stuff stolen from their hotel rooms as they were out on display on tables or on the consoles at the hotels we were staying at-hide and lock up your electronics and valuables.
Thanks for the tip, thankfully none of my jewellery is of serious value but that’s what I do with my handbags, I take them in the carry suitcase for this reason 😊
Excellent tips, Chiara. Have bought a digital lock that needs my fingerprint. Will lock my bag when I’m out. Hopefully my Airbnbs will be secure. Better to feel safe. Cheers from 🇦🇺
