    I think you should do one BIG rug in the room. I would have it fill most of the space. A foot off each wall and have it stop right in front of the dresser. You probably want to cover up most of the cold hard concrete as possible, and it will make your room look large 😊 Excited for the new room to come together!

      Love that idea, I think I’ll go a bigger one and put it under the bed 😊

    I’d vote for pink on the wall, just like the inspo pic you showed! Then all the green accents you have will really pop and stand out. Also, the bigger rug will go better in the space and help bridge the two spaces between the bed and the desk/dresser, a smaller rug would make the space feel smaller. Good luck with your updates and congrats on being able to make the space yours 🥰

    • @rachelleea
      @rachelleea  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m definitely considering the pink, like a light dusty pink would be cute and warm. I feel like the green might be too cool

    • @jaydencraigie
      @jaydencraigie ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rachelleea yeah I agree! Especially with the floors, the dusty pink would bring a nice level of warmth into the space while still allowing for the accents of green of your decor to play nicely off of the wall(s). Especially if you end up getting a rug with both colours in it ☺️

    You should paint the room first and then move rooms. Would be soo much easier! Love your new room!
    Dinosaur color is beautiful.
    For the rug maybe analyze for a few days where you need it? If you want to put your feet on the rug when getting off bed, that's comfy but you will need a longer one. Definitely nice to have it where you are getting dressed, in front of dresser and closet. Hope that helps ❤❤

  • @4eburawka18
    @4eburawka18 ปีที่แล้ว

    My favorite color is green too, but I find it goes great with pink and purple! So my room has green walls while everything else is pink-ish (lights, curtains, trash can, some other accessories, the bedding) 😊
    For the rug, when you first mentioned it, I pictured an oval shaped one in the space between the bed and the desk. Do you want to cover the whole area? Or maybe choosing a different shape could solve the awkwardness of the rug measurements against the bed measurements? ☺
    P.S. last question, does anyone paint or do arts in the spare room? Because originally it sounded very logical to me that the bedroom is a darker space while the studio is the room with the best lighting 🙄 unless it's not used at all, in which case really doesn't make sense to waste this best light on just storage.

    Looks great! Check out Sherwin Williams Succulent, we used it in our kitchen and our neighbor used it in her spare bedroom as an accent wall and it looks awesome. It's a neutral green. Also, maybe look at put the rug under the desk / drawer area versus under the bed? I think that'll separate the work area from the bed and look less awkward. Rugs are soooo hard, I'm on the struggle bus with them for our first floor that's semi-open concept.

    • @Swagen_Plans
      @Swagen_Plans ปีที่แล้ว

      Also I used SW white truffle at my parents office a few years ago and it was way more pigmented then I thought it would be. It looks like a light mauve / neutral pink in case you don't want to go with a very bold pink.

    Question does anyone have the inventoire spreadsheet? I was wondering with the investment column do people use that to right how much they've invested for example in stocks or raiz or is it for the dividends (if applicable)? Thank you in advance for you help

    • @rachelleea
      @rachelleea  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, the spreadsheet is designed to add estimates and actuals. To set yourself budgeting goals and track your actuals to see if you are meeting those goals.
      The investments section it is designed for you to add how much you think you'll be able to add to your investment accounts for the month and how much you actually do add. It then tallies up on the annual page to show you how much you were able to add to your accounts for the entire year. Every other section of the spreadsheet works in the same manner
