The video that we all wanted. The video that we all needed. The day has come! Thanks Brodie, stoked to see you reach that 1000 rating and get back on tour!
I’ve watched a lot of disc bag videos and I liked this one and learned the most from this one. Thanks for taking time to go over each disc and being honest about your throws. Obviously you’re hard work has paid off and it’s neat to hear you talk about how you went from hating a disc because of your form then learning to love it after your form improved. Great stuff Brodie. You are helping grow the game with these videos!
So glad you said that about the weights! I work at a DG shop and I couldn't tell you how many times people have decided against getting a disc because it was 174g instead of 175g. 🤦♂️
yeah when I pick out discs I look more at weight ranges than specific weight. Mids and putters I go max weight, so anything above 170 is gonna be fine. For drivers I look more for mid 160's, but I really don't care if it's 163 or 167. Maybe I should even try a max weight driver and see if I notice a difference ;).

Great video!! Amazing job with the disc flight numbers in the bottom left & also showing the flight paths, especially when you have the same mold but different plastics or understable/overstable. Very helpful and informative! Also didn’t get bored watching lol

Awesome to see you finally got your discs picked out and the way you want to throw them. I think finding the right discs and learning what they do in the air is the half the battle in disc golf. Great in the bag. So cool to see the work you put in really showing. Not gonna lie, seeing these distances kind of discourages me lol I’ve put a lot of work in and every time I feel as though I’m having a break through, it’s minimal. However, keep at it. Your an inspiration to a lot of us.
Love your channel Brodie I started disc golf around the same time as you and you have been a real inspiration for me to keep going and not give up knowing that practice will make perfect but you have to work for it. Also I’m glad somebody finally said the weight of a disc doesn’t really matter
Great job with the backhand, you're hitting out beyond 500 consistently without much thought now. Seems like just yesterday we were watching you and Drew rip shots from that basketball court! I'm still working on hitting 350! Keep up the great work, and I'm stoked for my 2 new Brodie Zones to show up soon!
Awesome video - I especially have been loving the Jawbreaker Zone lately. The local course has some catchy hills and it's been great for landing flat. I love my Buzzz but after seeing the Meteor it makes me want to grab one for sure!
It’s weird. I’ve always avoided Brodie signature discs, only because he’s such a new player. But today I found out his rating and it’s much higher than I expected. He’s already significantly better than every FPO player who’s ever lived. Good stuff.
Hey man, I just got into disc golf, used to be an Utimate guy years ago. I'll probably be taking a lot of cues from you for disc selection. I already picked up a Buzzz and Meteor, time to try out some drivers. Great videos too man, rock on bro
I was beginning to wonder if you had discs besides the zone. But really, It's good to see you working on your game. A lot of people talking trash. I hope to see you doing well in the next year or two.
Nukes are one of my favorites. The glo nuke I got from Foundation when they had that contest for that Paul Grip bag and the signed Luna has two aces on it's belt. In fact, I spat out of the same hole that I got those two aces in a row on on Tuesday. Almost hit a dollar ace pot that was over $80.
I like how you have been throwing and working on your new form because watching your getting in to disc golf got me wanting to try disc golf and now i love it so thank you. And seeing how hard you have been working on disc golf has me working hard on my form and how to throw each of my disc right too. My only question i have is what work out routine do you do for disc golf and what would you be working on in the off season

I got a question Brodie, on release of the disc. Are loosening your grip or ripping it out. Sometimes it seems like I'm pulling my fingers to much on a power grip and turning disc over. Is it equal pressure with thumb and fingers. Or more thumb and maybe not so much fingers. I know how to hold it just releasing drivers. And really if u do the same with mid r. There's not a good video explaining what is happening with the tension of your grip on release. Please and thanks. Sorry so long.
First of all great in the bag video, you really gave a good explanation of why every disc was in the bag. My question is why did you chose the thumber over the tomahawk? Personally I felt like the tomahawk was a lot easier for me to learn as it was the same grip as a forehand, but you and most other pros like big jerm both throw thumbers which is a whole new grip and release to practice for a utility shot.
The nice thing about being sponsored by Discraft is that you can actually get all of those discs. For me, most of what I want is sold out and has been for months.
@@BrodieSmith the work paid off !! This is the best in the bag I have seen because it was planned out and informative, but also laid back. Loved that you edited in the flights while you were explaining how they fly
Should probably check your form. I was able to add 60 feet to my drive, pushing it up to 400 feet, by changing my reach back and run up a little bit. A simple tip that was responsible for 30 of those 60 feet: lift your heels up from ground and balance on your toes.
The M4 and the Meteor are very similar discs. I use my M4 for the same reasons. I found a Ledgestone 2018 swirly meteor, I think it is a money run of meteor but idk much abt it. Flies well.
Has he made a video talking about making the switch from ultimate? This turned out to be a good business decision for him. Did he see the writing on the wall for ultimate/ the growing popularity for disc golf?
As a brand new player (almost 2 months), how do I know when my form is good enough to start trying new discs? I have been just trying to throw the Challenger SS and the Big Z Comet that came in my starter pack. I suck at throwing drivers, so I've been just working on better form with the Comet since it will go straight.
Is there a difference between Brodie's Avenger SS and Paul's Avenger SS? Old Avenger SS had a lot softer and stickier ESP plastic than Paul's SS has and old ones were flat and Paul's version has a significant dome. I love old Avenger SS for rollers and hyzerflips, but Paul's Avenger SS not so much. If I would change my putter, I'd select Roach as well. Throwing putter has been the same since 2007 and have a pretty big stack of those so I am not going to change it at least in the next 10 years. I have enough of those putters to last for 10 years. For a putting putter, who knows.
Wow great video man, really appreciate you showing flight numbers and (more importantly) the actual flight! 🤘🏻 I may have missed it but did you mention which bag you're actually using? Is that Grip AX?

Hey Brody, this is Heather Curtis, I was wondering what kind of discs are Get Freaky discs? Are they mid range or distance drivers or are they putters? I never understood what kind of discs were Get freaky discs. It was good thing that you went through your bag.
My jawbreaker zone might be my favorite disc. It’s flying super straight right I just hope it holds the straight flight for awhile longer and doesn’t turn into Paul’s wasp or whatever that crazy flippy disc is he has.

Brodie I noticed you don’t bag a Wasp. Was that just a something you put together with Paul? Or did you “outgrow it “?
It might find it’s way in the bag
Hey Brodie, what tournaments are you playing in before the end of the year?
Heck yeah!! Looking forward to this. 😁
We need a 2021 in the bag
How did you overcome "nose up" throws?... throwing a putter over 300 feet is not as easy as Pro's seem to make it look hahaha
Practice practice practice. Had to reteach my body and muscle memory.
@@BrodieSmith When you know the answer but hoping for something else... Well inspiring none the less to see your improvement over such a short period, can't wait to see ya rippin next DGPT!
What time do the Get Freakys and Roachs drop on Friday?
My mid game is the same as yours, didn't even know it.
