They have explained the questions very nicely and with almost no errors. Then there is this Arihant booklet which cover questions from 2001-2018 in amzn.to/2H3Fv58. and if want question papers from 2018-2021 then they are already available online on GATE website with the answer key. Hello Chirag, See these books contain content related to GATE exam like short notes and GATE questions. And these GATE questions are in good quantity and quality. Now you are in your B.Tech, so once you finish that perticular subject then you are good to solve these questions. These questions will also help in your semester exams as questions are really good. I suggest to use these books once you finish that subject as it would be difficult to find that perticular chapter questions in these books. Hello Shivam, Ramprasad is a good book. And I will suggest this book only if you have just started preparing for GATE. This book will cover every single definition related to syllabus in the form of question...but it doesn't have proper GATE solutions. What I mean is that this book has GATE questions but no proper solutions. On the other hand M Subbu has GATE solutions from 1987 to till now subjectwise. And the solutions are properly explained. And if I calculate then till now approximately 2000 questions are already available in GATE papers. So both are good but M Subbu is good for GATE and Ramprasad is good for learning all definitions and basic formulas.
Its ok...but not as good as O P Gupta....i mean if you r looking for an objective book... But if you are comparing the GATE based books then I strongly suggest you " M Subbu".

They were sufficient for GATE exams and interviews..as i have mentioned here also... Don't think that there are shortcuts to prepare for GATE. You should have good pointers in your semester exams along with good grip on concepts which coaching centers will never teach you. Hello Narahari, See this is the only book with 18 year papers...with some theory. What I am trying to say is that this may not fulfill what you were expecting...but this is the best GATE preparation booklet..... with no errors. You can trust this booklet.... Arihant comes with 9 year papers...last 9 years..2012-2020...that's it..... and with errors. We can easily access the last 2 year papers from anywhere...but the explanation and concept of the questions is smthg we have to think about...

Hello Narahari, If you are looking for notes..then it is difficult to find in any other book..if u r looking for GATE papers then this is the best option...and if u want to go with little low price then go with this website...UNIT OPERATION..their price is approx 900..but there are only ques from 2001-2020 and there is no guaranty of accuracy. There also you will not found any notes...some handwritten notes are available on NOTESGEN app. We also upload our notes there...you will find the notes cheap there...
All I can say that once you will be aware with the syllabus and the importance of GATE and how to prepare it...you will not regret buying this book...its an awesome book for GATE preparation written by IIT Madras Alumni.. it will also help you in your semester exams...don't look from the angle that this book doesn't have 2 year papers...just see how to solve the questions...questions repeat with time..and 18 years means approx 2000 ques...which are sufficient to understand the Chemical Engineering...so keep it...but definitely use it.

IOCL mai apply karne ki notification December-January mai aati hai.... Uske baad GATE rank or marks basis par ye aako interview ke liye call karegi....Waha interview 2 stages mai hota hai...Pahle hai Group Discussion then Second hai Personal Interview..... Personal Interview-Technical and HR hoga ek sath.....waha kuch basic questions honge...basic definitions puchi jaegi.....Jaise Reflux ki quantity change karne se kaun se parameters change honge....etc...etc. I hope aapka doubt clear ho gaya hoga...Agar nahi then let me know...I will try in a more better way.

Hello Krishna, don't worry. However you have to start from somewhere. IOCL is a Maharatna company so you need to prepare really hard. So, I suggest you to start from the easiest and small subjects. Once you will be able to finish them then you can come on track for more subject preparations. So choose the Indian author books for the subjects and some notes to make preparation faster. Choose 1 subject at a time. Read atleast one reference book. Finish that book and solve OP Gupta or Ram Prasad. Just remember only your hard work will give you the IOCL job. So, start from now on.
