you know I grew up with this being my song that my mom only sang to me (my brothers and sisters have different songs) and recently my grandfather died and they played amazing grace at his funeral. Any of the regular versions made me extremely sad but for some reason this one doesn't so I want to thank you for giving me back the song I love.

You stand there, hearing nothing but this deadly yet enticing melody that comes from a place far past Heaven’s gates, you watch the world around you crumble to fiery hot ash and yet you can’t help but feel contempt in this hopeless bliss...
Sounds like being a kid again and seeing the Lord hold my hand as he takes me up to Heaven, and I finally get to see the all my passed loved ones ,friends and family. I can't wait to finally be in eternity with the Lord.

I had a really good friend of mine that passed away on Halloween night. I found out the next day and my heart absolutely shattered. I met him when I was four and he was eleven. We were young kids, we grew up together, went to school together. This year he graduated from university and I graduated from middle school. He wanted a career in real estate. He was an amazing person and I loved him as if he were my older brother. When I heard the news, I immediately thought about this version of Amazing Grace. Whenever I listen to this version, I will always think of my friend. Think about the life he would have had. I have no doubt he would have been an amazing father. He died before he can make his dreams come true. It’s been one month and I think about him every day. I think about what life would be like if he was still here... and although I want him to come back to all the earthly things, I know that in my heart, he is in heaven, enjoying the paradise. Please continue praying for his family in this time of sorrow. They are doing better but as life goes on, we will still have amazing memories with him.💙 Rest in Paradise Victor✨
All I can picture in my mind when I hear any version of Amazing Grace is a lone veteran of ww1 who marches down the street, at the back of a remembrance- ceremonial parade, to lay a garland of poppies by a monument of the Great War, for the sacrifice of his fallen comrades and colleagues.
I think this would be the song fallen soldiers of war hear when they die in battle, and they stand at Heaven's gates with God saying "You've spent your time in Hell. Come right in, Soldier, and rest."
i remembered i joined a summer school for some reason and we have to sing a song for a program. the leader of our group chose this, and i didnt think too much about it. but as the first note came by, and as i read the lyrics, it hit me too hard man. i remembered i was about to cry on that same spot, but i held back my tears in and continued singing. this song made me feel into some kind of way, happy? sad? who knows? but i felt calmness every time i hear this. its like, im finally free, and see my life flash before my eyes. this was so damn good i love it :')

We were captivated by that beauty. But I, I only had eyes for you. They loved each-other so very deeply, Until he woke up. He had been in the hospital for 6 months. Waiting for her to wake up with him. She had been diagnosed with cancer for 2 months already. He didn't want to give up hope until the doctors broke the news, she wouldn't survive. He kissed her on the forehead as he smiled and pulled the plug. I hope you guys liked this short story!!
