    Cool 😎 I'm slowly losing the battle of "I don't need another bike" 😁 don't want a Grom and the Lifan from what I've seen on TH-cam is of decent enough quality, and since I'm from the land of flat also I should be able to use your jetting right off the bat when the time comes to get the bigger carb 😊

      The Lifan KP mini is a great bike, you’ll like it! I lose those battles all the time. 😂

    There’s a channel called small engine velocity that has some good videos on the kp mini he did a sprocket change as well.

    • @o0Macgruber0o
      @o0Macgruber0o ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He might have some info on what sprocket sizes he ran with.

      Hello Victor, Yeah I'm familiar with Caesar's videos, I've watched a few in the past. I like to experiment with the different sprockets myself because so many variables play into the power and speed thing. Besides sprockets are dirt cheap. Thank You for the heads up though.

    Did you have to do anything with your throttle cable? I used my stock one, and upon startup, it idles at 6k-8k rpm. I suspect the throttle is being held slightly open.

    • @herbiesgarage681
      @herbiesgarage681  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MJ-ff6oo No, I have the stock throttle cable. 2 things to look for, is the cable seated all the way into the top of the carburetor? Do you have the slide in correctly? Incorrect slide alignment will cause it to idle super fast

    What are the stock sprockets on this?
    And i agree..60-65 wpuld be plenty for me for my commutes.

      Hello Christopher, stock gearing is 15f and 36r, I plan on installing a 16f on it and see how it does.

    Cant decide, get kp mini rs 150cc efi or kawasawki z125? Same price..

    • @herbiesgarage681
      @herbiesgarage681  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Only you would know what is best for you but please allow me just a little comment on it. The z125 is of course only a 125cc and less hp, only has 4 speeds(I think), and even if it’s on sale the dealer adds fees on the price and will probably be $1000 higher when all said and done. On the positive side, the Kawasaki z will be assembled, have dealer support and better resale value. Hope I didn’t muddy the water too much, but for me I chose the KP 150, good luck with whatever you get 👍🏻

    • @PatagoniaArg
      @PatagoniaArg 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @herbiesgarage681 why you chose kp 150? I am reluctant due to dependability. Unsure on that.

      @@PatagoniaArg my experience with Lifan has been really good. My KPR 200 and KP mini 150 have been super reliable. I haven’t had to repair anything yet on either bike. The 150 is a pretty amazing engine, once I changed carb and exhaust it really came to life. I’m not trying to sway you, it’s entirely up to what you want. Myself, I love having my bike in a crate with me assembling it without anyone else touching it.

    How did you know what jets to use? I know how to tune a two-stroke scooter but not a motorcycle

    • @herbiesgarage681
      @herbiesgarage681  ปีที่แล้ว

      Jetting can be difficult but with experience it makes things a little easier. If you understand what circuit does what then you have half the battle and then it’s just a matter of trial and error. With me I am familiar with the different engine sizes and jets needed
