@@clivewilkinson5394 ah that’s the same wattage as the 12v rice cooker I’ve got for car camping / I plan on trying that for some kind of slow cooker style cooking :)
We have found cooking in the back of ‘Hotel Berlingo’ not an issue and are lucky to not suffer from migraines. I like the cooker, but it would kill our power station, especially this time of year when we want to use the diesel heater and solar gain can be minimal.
@@jamesbrook16 yeah tbh loads of car campers do, I’m just lucky 😂 altho, I do have issues with migraines anyway, so whatever it is, this accentuates my predisposition 😭 This is also it dude, I only use power for cooking and coffee (and now cpap) so. Between the beast and 700 have plenty of power 😄
Love this video. I am totally against cooking with and carrying butane or propane in my minivan. I do have a large and small power bank and I use an electric teapot and I have an electric mini cooker like yours. My mini cooker is very small in volume so I plan to take a look at the one you recommended.
Hi Matt, Grt video …all the kind of stuff you do/use inspires me to test out low wattage on my new ‘ Allpowers r600, & I used the code you gave us on screen & got the discount ….so thanks for that 👍👏🏴
@@h.bsfaithfulservant4136 it’s the best ❤️ Oh, hasn’t thought about doing one for that tbh - maybe in the future once I’ve mastered more meals you can make with it 🤘🏻
Lol I thought mine had an intermittent fault. Thinking back it only happened when doing a fry up too. Works great on my staple Bolly or a Chilli. Only used up to 300W on my 300W power thingy although I could use it with my 800W inverter to up to 600W. A great bit of kit and suits safe stealth camping. Have you given up on the food heater ? 😝
@@markwhalebone751 hehe it’s a defo a fry up related issue then 😂 Well, lunchbox has one last test before it enters the part of the car camping shelf of bits that I no longer use 😂
@@Papillion-Man ooh interesting question hmmm I think the only problem with lid on reheating would be that like a normal saucepan, the condensation would fall onto pasty and make it soggy :(
@zafiracamper Ah bugger, I did a mince and onion pie in the ridge money yesterday, and it worked quite well... but the stove was probably on a higher heat than this pan gives out. But I think I'll still have the khaki coloured one for £26. It should still get plenty of use. I think, cheers Matt
I can't believe in this day and age that someone would fry foods in aluminum foil and be surprised by bad headaches. The best thing about your new cooker is that it doesn't go to 400F where non stick coatings start breaking down and bleeding chemicals into the air and your food. "Migraines are a chronic neurological disorder that causes recurring headaches and other symptoms." Severe short term headaches are often a response to poisoning of the neurological system.
@@unclegeorge7845 hi ya, ah yes that tin foil was something very specific I did just that one time, was copying something I’d seen on a Japanese channel (never did it again 😂). But sadly it’s not this that caused my migraines - it defo was the gas 😉
@@zafiracamper Thanks for explanation. I would suggest the gas or the lack of oxygen. Looks like a great product that should be in most campers. I wonder if they make a frying pan. A pressure cooker should be on their future products list. Boiling stuff at 250F or above really gets food done in a hurry with little increase in energy use.
I use a second battery DC to DC charger an inverter. And a slow cooker. My slow cooker is 110 watts cooks while I drive along.

Good bit of kit. I am considering something like that as I am getting sick of coconut fat spitting all over my table from the frying pan 😂
