LOL I am guilty of emailing price quotes. Another agent was coming back from the restroom and noticed I was emailing a potential client a price quite. He stopped at my desk and said Randy don't email price quoted. Make them call you.

Hi Madeleine! If email is their preferred way of communication, make sure they pay your fee first and then you can send it. You want to ensure all the time you spent researching is not going to waste. Although, I would suggest having your sales pitch over zoom or at least a phone call. I hope that helps!

I am working as a Senior Travel Sales Executive with a US based travel supplier. We are into B2B operations. The travel agents based in the US, contact us for net fares and negotiated deals. So, they share the travel itinerary and ask for a fare quote. It could be for a flight, hotel, vacation package and/or car rental. Once I give them the fare quote, they apparently ask for an email with fare quote. They say that they will have to share it with their clients. You said, right at the beginning, don't send email! Then what excuse or rebuttal, can I use/give to the travel agent, for not sending the fare quote through email? Regards Djruv

Hi Virginia. It takes time and practice to have knowledge about travel. Most importantly, what do you LOVE to sell? Once you find your niche, hone in on that and learn as much as you can around your niche. When you have a basis of knowledge, it becomes easier to sell it to clients because you are more confident in that niche. I hope that helps!
