Don’t Go! Save your money and sanity. California is run by extreme Leftists who allow crime and poverty to run rampant….. renting is overpriced… traffic horrible…. Walk out your house to bums harassing you… please do not go…. California is becoming a wasteland
Car insurance can go up because of a change of location from one area to another. For example moving to a larger or more populated city...or a more risky area.
7 years at the same place. If you could have known about that you may have "owned". But would have had to know when to sell when the housing market was high. Well speculative. Where do you think you may finally buy at?
thanks for sharing- it's really helpful to see how other married couples budget! about amazon gifting, you can actually share prime benefits between separate amazon accounts! you'll still see the purchase amount on your bank statement, but the actual item should only show in each account's separate order history!
Only problem with that Amazon button is it would open them up to liability - someone could reasonably claim another user purchased something on the account without permission, and that Amazon enabled/encouraged that with the "button". Also really opens up financial infidelity between couples, unfortunately.
I love the transparency of these videos! Having moved 5 times in 7.5 years, I feel all of this!! Side note - your Kyle reminds me so much of my Kyle. Between the soap boxes and the dislike of rugs, im laughing out loud
car insurance premiums have gone up across the board because car prices have gone up across the board, especially in the used market. However, your premium should be changing also, since you should have reported your move to your auto insurance company, and the new rate will be based on los angeles instead of san diego. Your current policy you paid for ends when you changed your location. Your renters insurance may also change. trying to time the market is a fool's game and keeping cash on the sideline actually doesn't work compared to continuing dollar cost averaging (DCA).
Hope LA works out for you two. I know it's temporary. My company has it's HQ in Gardena, I could get a transfer there but the cost of living would be scary for us.
Moving to Los Angeles at the end of the year, any guidance on how you found your new place?
So many renting scams in LA 🫠

We paid before we moved so I'm curious how the insurance premium will change in 6 months!
It will be interesting.@@DebtFreeMillennials
You are so right. It doesn't matter how much you prepare...moving is ALWAYS terrible!
I'm so glad it's behind us now!

True also are you going to be putting aside more for the extra furniture for your house. I’m sure you’re going to want new things like couches & beds
Yes, yes, yes. I really think I need a separate sinking fund for home decor when we move to CO.

You can make a separate account on amazon... as I share with my mom and she would get notifications for her gifts!
You guys are so inspiring
I appreciate you!

So far, LA has been surprisingly pleasant! We're also in a very suburbia area but still close to the beach. Can't beat that!
