The most important thing to learn from this tbh: fishing is awesome. do fishing in the earlygame. Its a skill thats super quick to level, it needs no cash investment, if you dont use bait you have enough enough to fish all day even without food, it makes a ton of money once you reach later levels. I used to only start fishing in the first winter, which is such a waste. Farming is the best money maker in the game, but farming needs a big early investment and either sprinklers or a gold watering can for large scale money making. If you wish enough in spring you can enough cash for both in the start of summer. dont worry about farming XP, its gonna go up like crazy once youre able to farm on scale.

I hadn’t tried joja for so many years but once I tried it it was hard to go back, especially since cutscenes suggest Pierre will happily rip the townfolk off if he doesn’t have competition. 😠 Now I usually do a sort of hybrid joja run, I rush the minecart bundles and buy out the vault rooms in the CC before purchasing my joja membership as completed rooms won’t need to be paid again and then I can get some nice rewards as well as the faster joja unlocks
I love this. Joja is part of the game i honestly even forget. like i make it a point to play the game wrong to begin with. But the only time I've ever gone into Joja, they didn't have anything to sell so i just never went back and forget about it until a book sale happens
@@ProudCorgiDad yeah! when you complete the community center, joja can be turned into a movie theater. if you did the joja route, the joja warehouse can be converted to the movie theater
@@Lincorporated so like, funny thing about that. i've never completed the community center 😅 I play stardew very wrong. i've never even opened a piece of mail or gone into the mines. i farm, then i sell my crops at the farm, then i buy the stones and ores i need to upgrade things, then i farm some more. its been 5 years and i've never gone further then the shop in my world. its a peaceful life

Funny to see more and more people going for joja nowadays. It felt like i was the only one who did it every now and then, my first joja playthrough was actually my 2nd playthrough ever in 2016. By now, after i learned a lot about the characters in the game i even think its a pretty neutral thing to do since Pelican Town only fell into this deathspiral because of the greed from pierre and lewis. Also, little tipbit: if you dont dig up an artifact, every artifact in a treasure chest while fishing will be replaced with coal. Might have given you more coal to smoke fish with in the beginning.
