More of our old truck videos / alaskatrucker
Many people will recognize the Dodge WC54 from the opening introduction to the TV series MASH. Undoubtedly many soldier's lives were saved inside one of these units as they were rushed to emergency care. This particular truck is often driven in 4th of July parades and is lovingly cared for. Thanks for watching! #mashambulance #wc54 #ww2dodge

Nice collection. 👍
Keep 'em safe, keep 'em clean, keep 'em running.
Thanks for sharing.
My Dad had one of them old Ambulances. I think it was a 51 or 52. It was built to run under water. It had a snorkel that pulled engine air from the headliner. If the driver could breathe, that thing would run. I loved that old Dodge!!!!
Beautiful video. Thank you.
Thank you!
Hi, my name is Tim, live in Wasilla. I have been watching your videos for many years. Watching this one I realized I know that property, been there many times when Charles Nevada owned it. Mr Nevada was what I considered a "true" Alaskan, and a close friend, I miss him...RIP. He told me stories about building that house, buying the land, and putting the addition on. He told me about hunting, and fishing and showed me how and when to dip net on the Kenai River. He told me his history too, born in Pa, 1918, big family in coal mine town. Lost 2 brothers in the mine, told his Dad "he will not die in a mine", moved to Alaska, joined the Army, was bombed by the Japs in Dutch Harbor, retired late 60's became a teamster, drove trucks down to the Kenai. Sally was his wife, a truly great hard working lady. He told me some stories about the neighbor to your West, he sold her the land. He told me he bought that land in 1951, paid cash, to a guy that lived in a cabin on that lake, on a Friday night (I think). The guy was going to go to town Monday to record the sale, but someone murdered him in his cabin that weekend, and burned it with him in it. Mr Nevada had a hell of a time proving he bought it. He had to drive his 1951 Studebaker truck across the lake to access the land in the winter to build his house, then he paid a guy with a Cat to put the driveway in, Nevada Lane.
Wow! I remember a lot of the old timers myself, from back in the day. Thanks for telling the story, and thanks for watching!

Very beautiful ambulance. I really like the way she looks. I really like all the items are with it. Has she been garage kept? I want to say thank you for sharing this video. Can not wait to see what treasure you find.
That Dodge is awesome 👍 I think it is just like vehicle's that was used in the M.A.S.H. series.. which was a great show in itself.
Built to last an was simple to work on unlike todays military vehicles. Nice looking an rugged!
