We just built a wall with what looks to be similar blocks - but ours weigh 2,400 lbs. ea. The price keeps going up as well. We paid $35.00 ea. a few years ago, and $65.00 ea. this year! the newer blocks are much nicer though 😊
@@ivantoxie More like a get somthing built within a year home. Sorry to be a buzz kill on the other but contractors in our area (Texas) are hard to get right now. Guess I'm just going to build it all myself. I still think it will be pretty sweet as I don't know of a house built this way yet. I could be the first. Might get my wife to record the process and start a TH-cam channel for others interested. 🤔 The build process should be menacing!
The Limestone Blocks that you used were they as big as these blocks? I am thinking of using them. the limestone blocks I am looking at are 2ft x 2ft x 5ft and weigh 2500 lbs each. Is that the kind of blocks you had they fell over?
The ones I used were around 3 feet wide and 7 inches tall by maybe 8 or so inches deep. They weighed over 100lbs but I don’t know by how much. I’m making a video to answer questions about the wall and will include a picture. I would be surprised if your wall will ever move. How high are you going?
JOSHUA SHORT we got them from a local concrete company. Where we live it’s super common that all concrete mixing companies pour the extra into molds so they then sell these blocks. At the time these were advertised for 30 bucks a block. Don’t know what they cost today. I also paid to have them delivered/placed because I don’t own that equipment. Thanks for watching!!
I love the look of the blocks, turning out very very nice,I just redone mine this year but mine only weight 75LBS a piece. I subscribed to see what you do next
Thanks for the comment! I built a rather large wall with blocks from Menards to extend our patio that I believe weighed about 75lbs. I know you can relate that was a lot of work!
I am not aware of any other large blocks for options. I used limestone originally but after a few years it fell over....my fault. I got these at a local concrete plant where they pour the extra into a mold when the trucks come back each day. It was cheap and hopefully, it never moves! Thanks for following us.

Awesome! It’s amazing what things cost today
@@WoodwardAcres I agree...
I'm still waiting to see someone build a large menacing home out of these.
I'm getting ready to do just that. Grab your popcorn 🍿.
@@copenhagen1601 like a sexy Bruce Wayne gothic revival type home? Please give spoiler.

Hey Shawn, what type of block is that and why did you go with that vs other 1 ton block options. Looks great cosmetically by the way!
