This is my 2nd time commenting on this documentary. It always brings back those good memories living in Mt.Vernon New York. Heavy D wasn't like any other superstar he was down on Earth and represented the town so well.l I truly miss growing up in the town an playing baseball at brush park ,basketball games all around the town and playing football at Memorial Field with the Knight riding the horse. Whoever did this well-thought-out documentary thank you from the bottom of my heart because as a 51 year old man you understand that time is precious and the memories made last a lifetime.

I met Heavy D backstage at the Richmond Coliseum along with my grandma back in the day. He was the nicest guy who was like that cool big brother or cool cousin who you could always hang out with. I miss him but he's up there with my grandma. R.I.P. bruh.

I grew up in Money 💰 Mt.vernon and hr was a genuine person. Personable and easy to approach, respectful to elders and definitely the Major of the town. Glad they did a quality documentary on Heavy D. A real legend in the game.

Heavy was real Hip- Hop peace, unity, love , n havin fun!! Not too many people can say they embrace that in this industry n culture. He’s proof you don’t have to be gangster you can be your own creative self. They really messed up rap in the last 20 years as far as images, lyrics n attitudes. I’m glad I came up when hip- hop was first growing I got to see real MC’s, great dancers, visual Artist, and DJ’s get down foreal in the place to be! I saw heavy D n the Boyz at "Hollywood live" like 1988 -89 everybody was there Queen Latifah, Big Daddy Kane, Kid n Play, Cool J , it was amazing !! There was nobody like Hev. !R.I.P Heavy D n Trouble T Roy.

My first meeting with Heavy D, Russell and DefJam was having a party & Faith Newman step outside. She saw me & told Security to let me through.
