@dave41184 - At the end of 1996, the V8Supercars withdrew from the 1997 Bathurst 1000, and decided to start their own race at Bathurst, which started in 1997 and continues to this day. This left the organisers of the traditional Bathurst 1000 in the lurch with no category to run their race, so they invited the Super Tourers to run in the proper Bathurst 1000, which had been running since 1963
Benjamin Karic Oversteery setup, rear end doesn't look very stable. Probably because of the teams running low downforce setups here but still looser than the other cars.
Loose but quick, I bet they let that car off all it's chains for this race and lengthened out 6th gear ratio to north of 160mph, normal race trim for BTCC would of been 145mph flat out in 6th.
Watts never had the machinery to match his speed. He would have been a champion in a competitive car. He always pushed inferior cars to the utter limit, hence his wild man reputation. The brand "No Fear",used to run a advert way back in the day, with Watts completely sideways in his 405 BTCC car. The caption was....."hes been called everything.....except coward"...
It's THE Taxi
Handsome car in that livery. What a pilot Watts was as well!
Sensational looking car, better than any supercar in that livery too.
Wonderfull lap!
Great times of the motorsport
Yes, I have all the top ten runners.
Will try and post some up soon.

The car is really fast, I tried it last year in North Hampshire, it feels like a brick on the road :)
