  • Dennis Serrine walks us through his world record breaking railroad in this all encompassing breakdown of planning to laying track. The highs and lows of creating one of the largest, private owned G-Scale Railroads in the world.
    Home of "The World's Longest Train", we get to see it's barren beginnings to the wonderful final product immortalized in film!
    This is a unique railroad built by one of the single best railroaders in the world.
    This was filmed, edited and produced by Movie Mix Productions. Very well made to enjoy a real part of history!

    This was "the" layout. It is fantastic to see how it was built. Thanks once again, for sharing. So much work was done behind the scenes. Fantastic.

    Thank you for posting this always knew this was a multi million dollar layout just in what he had and trans alone in this just goes to show that’s absolutely the case. But I have also been curious why he sold everything off and what ended up with the layout after all the trains were sold.

    I'm always on the lookout for a good tip. The modifications to the Aristo-Craft turnouts are very much needed in my layout.

    Thanks for sharing. I always loved videos of this layout on TH-cam I wish they still posted on their channel. It is simply amazing. It is nice to see how it was made

    • @TreverAdamo
      @TreverAdamo 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it was a couple years ago when he was selling all the trains he would post the videos on TH-cam. He also when doing that turned all the comments off. There’s never been any talk of why he sold everything off other than maybe he didn’t want to put so much work into maintaining it anymore is my guess.

      @@TreverAdamo I think he explained in a video that he didn’t know what all the commotion was about (I don’t think he really understood the size and value of his collection, I don’t know!). He said he was moving to a smaller property and was going to run a smaller layout, so he was selling the bulk of it. I don’t know why, maybe money issues. Usually what gets us all. That or health. But what a layout. I’d give my left nut to have something half as nice.

    The cost to remove it was surely more than any of us could afford. It was part of the local garden RR club's open yard tour every year at the holidays and it would draw thousands of people. Then all of a sudden, it wasn't part of the tour any more. And now it's gone. A very strange piece of local history here in Az.

    • @EaglewingsIronCraft
      @EaglewingsIronCraft  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It was unfortunately dismantled a few years ago after the sale of the property. Very unfortunate for the amount of care and craftmanship that went into it.
