Hello! I am. 1-3rd grade self contained ID special needs teacher and I have loved all of your resources. I am currently struggling with how to implement OG and the rest of the science of reading mid year. At this point some students only know a few letter sounds, some know cvc and some can decode. I have students on so many different levels. And they are all in and out at different times throughout the day. Do you have any advice for this? I would love to get your opinion or advice. I am looking forward to finishing my OG IMSE course here in a couple weeks.

Hi - I have two questions. I know we're supposed to not have traditional word walls but once the heart words are directly taught, is it okay to hang up the words for reference? Also regarding pre-teaching about 10 words before the first cvc lessons, it sounded like you were saying to straight up try to get the kids to memorize the words like we would have done before this. Is that right? So you can't/shouldn't use heart words for *those* words? Many are tricky though and I think it would be helpful. Thanks!
