Hey TK, I’m a fairly new subscriber. I’ve been enjoying your videos very much. I like your format. It has been a little while since I’ve purchased a Rough Ryder, but thanks to you I recently acquired 4 new ones, 3 Canoes and a doctor’s knife. Love that red jigged bone. You got a good one there. Now I want some of those RR leather slips but I’m having trouble sourcing them. Anyway thanks for the channel.
There are defenitely older discontinued models that are worth looking for. Not always offered, sometimes for abnormal money, but now and then you get lucky. Thank you John.
After watching your videos on the WALMART BUCK Exclusives, Canoe and Stockman, I bought both while out shopping. The Canoe is a dream for the money, but the stockman is so mushy on the springs, I hope it doesnt close up on my fingers. It is that bad. I also purchased 4 different models from the RR WASP line. I must say, the quality is really good. I love the feel of the SowBelly Trapper, so solid.
RR has really been putting out some neat stuff lately. By the time i get everything RR i want into the cart I'm in for $500. But man that would be a fun shipment to get.
One of the nicer looking sowbellyl knives; makes me wonder why American knives don’t look as good since these companies more more more money. Thanks for the review
I really enjoy seeing these older knives you acquire
Thanks Jamie, I'll be showing more older ones than usual in the coming weeks.
Thanks, TK, for the share of the 371 sowbelly lockback. Very nice find.
No problem, I'll be taking a look at some older RRs in the coming weeks. 👍Take care, Byron.
RR red scales always a nice shiny even red, lock back makes it very useful. A great find thanks for sharing it, TK.
Thanks for watching, Jose. This is slender carry and a very comfortable to use. A very cool knife.
Great looking knife, the bone is so deep. Love the Rough Riders can't beat them for value. Live Long Prosper and Collect Your Own Way!
That red bone is so vibrant and eye-catching. Thanks, Stan.
Lockback sowbelly, don't see that every day!! Great looking covers on that one, thanks for sharing TK!!
RR has made some over the years, but you don't find them too often. Thanks for having a look BigJ.
Great looking RR knife, and a single blade lock back makes it better. Thanks for sharing.
It's a real nice carry. I've been using it this week and it's been great.
In my personal experience, Rough Ryder are much better quality, than Case knives, this one is truly great.. Thanks for showing us this one..
They did a great job on this one, John. Really pleased with the fit & finish.
Like, like, like it! Thanks for sharing. I’ll have to be on the look out for one. Agree on the horseshoe shield…looks nice!
It's great finding an older RR you've wanted. Really good F&F on this one.
Looks like a good lockback. Glad you found one. Great video John!
Thanks very much, Randy. I was happy to have won the auction, and at a very reasonable price. 👍
Hey TK

I to like the horse shoe tang stamp and shield !!!
Great find !! Thanks for sharing 👍
I really wish the horsehoe tang stamp had stayed around. It's a great looking design. Have a great day Terry.
Yes sir , you as well 👍
Great review Thrifty! I’ve made note of the model number and might try to hunt down this gem. Beautiful slideshow, really compliments the the knife!

They are out of stock in most places. Give it some time they'll restock eventually. Thanks, Hired.
Did you get the new faded blue jean micarta?
That's a very pretty knife, love the finish and color on the scales. Thanks for sharing, take care my friend and Cheers!
Thanks Toad, I was elated to have won the auction. I hope you found the review to your liking.

I feel like I got this at a very reasonable price, it'd cost more than I paid if it were made today. Thanks, Jeroen.
Hey John,
Love the look of this one, nice find!
Everything looks as it should and the red bone is great.
Great review, thanks brother 😎👍🏻
I'm a fan of RR red jigged bone. There's been some great knives made in this series.
Very nice great looking knife! Those red covers look great!!!
I think so too, RR red jigged bone is class. Thanks, Mike. Good seeing you on Paddy's live today.
That shield is really cool! Nice one, buddy!
I enjoy the horseshoe shield. Thanks for the visit, David.

Some of the Buck imports are a bit weak on the pull. They seem to vary quite a lot knife to knife. If you don't mind returning it, give another a try.
Red jigged bone… love it 👌🏻
Me too! 👍 Thanks, Stu.
Very beautiful red jigged bone on this one. Nice find TK. 👍🔪
I always enjoy this handle material, RR does a good job with it.
Great looking knife!
I love that color.
Good stuff as always, TK
👊🏻
Thanks, Tim. RR does a really red nice bone color. 👍

They do indeed.
Great snag - solid lockback - came home late 2nite from work to the new SMKW catalog-- Def been eyeballing some RRs- great vid my man
Always nice to get the new catalog. I've been taking a look at mine as well. Thanks, Chad.
I really like these Single bladed Sowbellys, I really wish they would release some Slipjoint variations, hint hint SMKW 😅, Great review John
A Single bladed slipjoint Sowbelly. You've been calling for that one. Maybe someday. Thanks, Slippy.
Handsome 🗡 especially without thev RRvOn the bolster
Yea this pre-dates the R/T era. I'm glad that bit of history is over with.
Nice find .
Great review . 👍
Thank you! Cheers, Michael.
I noticed you are almost at 5k. Wow! Good job!
Yes! Thank you, Stuart.
That blade looks so much better than today's blades with a
Swedge .
Ahh you're talking my language. Swedges have had their turn, lets get back to this style.
That's sharp I like the color! 😊👍
It's great looking jigging, very vibrant color too. Thanks, TW.
I agree you're welcome! 😊 👌
Great looking knife.
So glad I won the auction, Rusty, It's a terrific piece.
Fun review TK , someday could you do a video on your top 5 favorite RR pocketknives ?
Someday I will do so. Thanks Prop.

That's two knives for some collectors. Good value aren't they? Thanks, RWHP
@@ThriftyKaniffy I've got knives at over that price. But I really appreciate the value knives. It's like having insider knowledge.

Thanks for the review
They can look good, but I wish the QC would improve in some instances. Thanks for watching, Jim.
I like the lockback.
Thanks Rydog, I like the red jigged bone knives from RR.
@@ThriftyKaniffy I learn something new from your channel all the time,
, I thought all Rough Ryder"s were slipjoint"s.
A nice one!
Thanks kindly, Legion. I hope you're doing well.
A well designed knife.
Thanks for taking a look, Rob.
Sweet looking knife
Thanks, Jeff. 👍
@@ThriftyKaniffy you're welcome
It’s pretty
I agree! Thanks very much Terrill.
It's definitely unusual to have a locking sow belly.
Wouldn't mind having RR do a single blade slipjoint version as well. I'd be all in. Thanks, Michael.
