There's so many sub-plots on the books left out in the HBO series that had they dramatized all the sub-plots there would have been enough material to last many years until the final book came out.
The problem is that so much of it was pointless or didn't fit with the less magic filled show. Lady Stoneheart is 1 Zombie Character too many and her resurrection breaks the rules from other resurrections. Qaithe was just a wild goose chase, but was in the books too. That one dude Young Griff or whatever is One Too Many "Secret Heir" and would reduce the effect of Jon Snow being a Targaryen. There is a reason a lot of the side stuff and filler wasn't on screen...
True but it’s hard to give ppl their favorites and bring in new characters all the time the characters are what hold the show like if Jon snow had died a lot of viewers would lose interest
I don't know about you but some of these subplots are unnecessary and making the narrative seemed rather unfocused Some of it deserved to get cut or streamlined since it wont either work on screen or have enough time and budget to have it in 10 40 mins episodes I still don't see the point of disguised mance rayder being a cia agent for melisandre, ot could have been some other random bacground character. Him dying seemed more fitting No wonder why the last 2 books are not out yet, the story got simply too big, the author himself doesn't know how to address all of them all anymore

Here we have come to where the books have left off Jon Snow and Stannis. With Jon's stabbing and the advent of the Battle of Ice, leaving an uncertain future of which way the Winds will blow. Though there are many other events happening in Westeros and beyond, that could be covered and interesting to see. From the Purple Wedding, to intrigue in the Iron Islands, Dorne and the Vale. Including a mysterious Young Griff.
Which may be a clue that BloodRaven manipulated him into making noise (because he pretty much never does) and Jon finding out. BloodRaven may have plans for him. I recommend the video "The Real Jon Snow".
Welp, I hope we get an update to this series one day if/when Winds finally comes out 😥Although I'll hold out hope for the Golden Company landing getting a video at least 😅

Qhorin half hand did NOT order Jon Snow to execute Ygritte. He said something along the lines of "do what is necessary" or "what is needed" or "the right thing", something along those lines. When Jon subsequently told Qhorin that he, Jon, had not killed her, Qhorin replied that he, Qhorin, hadn't told Jon to kill her. His order was vaguer and had contained the meaning that it was up to Jon to decide "what was necessary" or "what was right" etc... Which Jon had done. But, further, it was now up to Jon to live with what the consequences of that action might be. Including that it might get a lot of fellow Night's Watch men killed. @samwize28 If Jon is Rhaegar’s son he would be a distantly related dayne because of Maekar marrying Dyana Dayne. But why the Daynes all the way in Dorne would give their ancestral sword to a distant cousin all the way at the Wall would be beyond me.
