A little tidbit: These are called trench lighters because they’re commonly found in WWI trenches. They’re a French design made common from 1910s onwards and were officially called storm lighters as they were designed to be used in all weather conditions. They normally have a cap on a chain to douse and protect the wick.
Was that a seam at the bottom of the main lighter cylinder = to unscrew the bottom or just a line engraved in it for styling, you wouldn’t have had to struggle pulling the string and cotton out of the fill hole if the whole bottom unscrewed?
Exciting news! The inclusion of Rose number [585] beautifully symbolizes our collaborative efforts in this creative garden at CoinEra. Let's continue nurturing this shared space together! 🌹🌷🌼 Thank you for being an integral part of it! 😊💖
Likely a stupid question, but is there a cap that goes over the wick end to reduce evaporation or wicking fluid to the pocket? My first thought was a cap for copper tubing. Good work: looked like a goner at first.

По конструкції немає. В мене ще є такі запальнички і там теж без ковпачків…
Absolute amazing! I give you my address an then you send me the lighter! And I will be happy too see it every day 😉👍👍👍
Al no tener tapa, el combustible se evaporaría a través de la mecha.
