  • Here's another repaint of a master replicas collectors item.
It was stripped back removing the nasty black streaks, but leaving most of the panels as they came from the factory, I then re painted it as close to the original Studio model as I could whilst still working with most of the original paintwork. The results came out really nicely, so I have posted this video to show how good these models can look with some time and new paint.

Absolutely spot on! This is the best re paint I've seen, put it beside the studio prop, I'm sure you'd be hard pressed to spot the difference.

incredible and unparalleled work! I'm building / painting a DeAgo Falcon - what paints did you use for this repaint?

Thank you for the kind comments. The paint is mainly Tamia. Colours are custom mixed as best i can to match the reference images. Lots of pencil work and rotring ink pen marks, as on the original filming miniature. with an ultra light pass of Tamia Buff on certain panels to warm the final finish a touch. Good luck with the De-ag.

Beautiful job! Does anyone know what the power source is for this model? I lost the base to mine, and I need to replace the plug so I can light it up again. All I know it's 120 Volts AC powered through the base with a "phono plug" that attaches from the bottom of the model. Is it a transformer plug? What is the actual voltage for the model itself from AC to DC? Does anyone out there know? Thank you.

HI there. I can remember off the top of my head. But i would purchase a switchable transformer from 3v DC to 12v DC, start at 3volts and increase if needed. I think 5v DC should do it. Other than that i cant help, sorry. Thanks for checking the videos out. :-)
