If your still using the fixed reaper broadheads, do you sharpen them? And could you do a video on sharpening them? If you don’t could you discuss what the advantages are to sharpening or replacing?
Awesome info. The rabbit hole of broadheads is always a fun one. Switched back to fixed blades this year with the annihilator. Loving hownit flys. Rock solid head and easy to sharpen. I was using the sevr prior to that. I think spin testing could have been on there as well. Although more in the arrow tuning side, it can make a drastic change in broadhead flight.

Err on the heavy side, leave expandable heads in the toybox, keep your shots under 30 yds and you're good to go..... It shouldn't be about having a degree in mechanical engineering, just go huntin and enjoy yourself. Good luck.....
@@Woodsyone Thanks. I've never used expandables. Always used Montecs 125 gr. I have Easton 5mm Axis, 340 spine. Would like to have switched to a 260 or 300, but it's what I have. I did put a 25 gr. Iron Will outserts on and a 150 gr field tip which shot consistent and accurate. That brings my arrow weight to 500 gr even. So I bought a pack of Magnus Stinger Killer Bees (150 gr). I've used Kudu's for some amount of time... Harvested an animal or two with them.. Found I picked up some accuracy downrange with a different broadhead.. Find out what works best for you and your setup, TC
What does Josh think of speed of the bow when it comes to broadheads? Is there a speed limit for better flight for fixed heads? Can mechanicals go to fast, to not function properly?
Hand torque is probably the most overlooked reason for poor accuracy or flyers. Its super easy to eliminate. When you draw your bow simply look up the string at your top cam/wheel and you can instantly see if you are torquing it left or right. After a while of doing this you will remember how you grip the bow and your groups will start to shrink. Hope this helps

Hey question for all you. I’m pulling 70 pounds with a 27.5” draw length. Trying to decide between 125 or 100 broadheads. 300 spine arrow with a 50 grain insert
I’m not sure what broad head I should shoot, I mainly hunt whitetail I want something that’s a safest thing and most affective way to kill the animal quickly, fixed blade or mechanical? What’s your opinion?
Thanks for the great info. So the only pass through consistently I have had are the fixed. Magnus Stinger my favorite and the G5 Montec. I only had one pass though on a mechanical but that was because the only one blade opened. The rest of the mechanicals would stop at the other ribs they were all with in 12yds. This year I am trying the Cutthroat single bevel.
