The dumbest release was the new Guerlain lipstick case. All of us folks that have the beautiful original lipstick cases are unable to replace with new lipsticks. Shame on you Guerlain.
@@dcamp840 I'm furious over this too. I had not long bought these lipsticks after being recommended. I have somewhere near to ten and they'll be totally useless when the lipsticks run out. Definitely will not be buying their lipsticks ever again after this huge waste. Luckily, I did buy them at a reduced price, but that's not the point. It's a disgrace that they got away with it.💖
Chanel colored cosmetics are sometimes too dry. I can wear the Chanel loose powder daily so I know they can do it. The clairvoyant release was too weird for me. As creams get better and less oily we will be less into powders other than setting powder. Thanks for doing this for another year.
The Byredo Palettes are definitely my favorite. I only missed the very first one, which I regret. I adore the Mineralscapes. I think Flora Kalahari is my absolute favorite. They’re the only palettes I’d refuse to give up and I have all the Greats. 🙌🏼💯
Happy New Year Rebecca! Started watching the video and had to pause to write this meesage and mention how much I appreciate your efforts in this amazing chanel! I look forward to thi video every 1st of January!
2024 is when I got so much into makeup and first time I had money for it. I got a lot of Chanel (Chanel Chanel Chanel!), Dior, Guerlain and Lisa Eldridge. Very happy with all my purchases and I’m excited for 2025 releases! Happy New Year!
I think that people are over Charlotte because she releases similar products over and over. People are sick of pillow talk and disco ball glitter in every product. She is also in the runt as Pat where everything is the same colors.
This year I skipped the hyped up products and went back to basics with Tom Ford, Chanel and Gucci. Also Viseart surprised me this year with the Sirenuse palette before that I hadn’t purchased an eyeshadow from them in years.
That is incredibly kind of you and I will share that with her. She has been a little bit under the weather with back pain and is currently lying in bed so hopefully when she is up and ready I will have her back on
Happy New Year, Rebecca! 🥳🙂 For me last year was a huge disappointment and saved me a lot of money. The big palette from Byredo didn’t come to Mecca Australia. I think the reason was that the previous ones didn’t have too much success (each of them was available around one year after release. I don’t like big eyeshadow palettes, so I wasn’t upset about it. 😁 My purchases last year were 3 more eyeshadows from Hermes (permanent and the limited edition one), few blushes from Hermes and a limited edition one from Chanel, the brow sculptor from Tom Ford (brilliant), a clear brow gel from MAC(very good), eyeliner pencils from Tom Ford (very good), Space Black mascara from Byredo (I was ok with it at the beginning but now I love it). Non makeup products: the eyelash curler from Hermes, more synthetic brushes from Rae Morris and the Holiday limited edition eye brushes set from Sonia G. 2025 it looks more promising. I like Rose Exposed quad from TF and I am waiting to be released in Australia. Chanel will come with 4 eyeshadow quads with camellia embossed 😍, Gucci will release a new mascara and Hermes will come out with a gorgeous blush. 🙂
The new Guerlain lipstick case and the ruination of the Givenchy powder were WAY 'stupider' than the Patrick Ta duos! (Gave in & finally purchased one, and I do like it.) Cute hoodie!
Very interesting about Charlotte Tilbury! It's the marketing I'm more tired of than the products themselves (the hyperbole, the "gasm" everything). Actually really love the new Pillow Talk fair lipstick & the holiday palette (after the hideous pastel "mermaidcore" of 2023). Really want Byredo to re-release the Mineralscapes palette since I missed it, or to do something else similar. Happy Birthday & Happy New Year Rebecca! Thank you for all your hard work in keeping us informed in 2024!🎂🎉🍾🥂🎉🍾🥂
Happy Birthday, Rebecca! ❤ You look lovely in this make up - you suit the pink blush and red lip gloss so much - your skin looks beautiful too 😊 Look forward to this video every year. CT was a surprise as a couple of yrs ago the brand won so many categories. Surprised no mention of WA too. Happy New Year! 🎉

LOL oh man when that Patrick Ta eyeshadow jumped out of the palette. Just wanted to wish you and your family a Happy New Year Rebecca. I really appreciate all that you do! You are the bees knees. 😊
I am SOOOO excited for this!!!! Happy New Year, Rebecca! And HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!❤ Now, that I’ve watched, I thought the answers were so interesting! Beauty News (Kat and Haley from Australia) did a similar survey (it wasn’t well publicized or organized in advance so they had 250 respondents), but . . . Danessa Myricks won most of the categories. Watch the video - they had some cute questions!
I’m most shocked by the greatest difference between online and in-store shopping. Online certainly makes things easier especially when you live in a more remote place. But I love shopping in stores and prefer that soooo much more than online.
Thank you, Rebecca and Helen, for all the work this year. 🎉 Many years in health and happiness to all the community viewers and members. This has been a challenging year for my family, and your comments have brightened my mood. To a joyful and peaceful New Year for all! ❤❤❤
Happy New Year Rebecca and all in this beauty community!🥂🍾🎆 I've been looking forward to the results of this questionnaire. As I tend to try different brands, and are loyal to them when I discover a great one, many of my answers didn't make an impact. After Dior's disastrous reformulations, I veered to Givenchy where I've been thoroughly enjoying all of the products I've purchased. After Lethal changed manufacturers for their shadows, I tried out Clionadh for the first time and are loving their handmade shadows made in Canada. Their customer service is terrific too. I then discovered that Blend Bunny was available through a sole stockist in Australia and bought up every palette available. Although, there are some products from Chanel that I buy when interested, they continue to turn me off with those over-sized cash grabs. As I have reached and surpassed the point of owning far to much make-up, I turned to fragrance and fragrant candles this year, which I'm thoroughly enjoying. There aren't any luxury brands that are releasing larger eye palettes, except for Natasha Denona and Pat McGrath. As Pat didn't release a Mothership last year, it didn't help her receiving a nod in any questions. I would have loved to include Natasha's Xenon Palette, but it wasn't neutral nor colourful. Nothing was going to get in the way of Minerscape anyway. Brands like Patrick Ta, Charlotte Tilbury and other brands easier sourced in the US are not brands I ever use. I'm surprised that Tom Ford never seems to make an appearance. I'm still in love with my Burberry Lipsticks and several other brands like Givenchy, Prada, Gucci, Rabanne and my favourites this year were from Dolce & Gabbana. Somehow, my answers were not going to make an impact in this survey. I love to hear the answers anyway and filling out the Google Form did make it easier for both of us Rebecca. Interesting that the Indie Brand question went to Sydney Grace and not Lethal nor Oden's Eye this year. I can't buy from Sydney Grace due to their exorbitant costs for shipping that are obviously over-inflated. I never heard anything that would have elevated this brand into taking out this gong, especially with the many great new brands that include exceptional shadows in their palettes. This video is one that does interest me and surprise me too. Thanks for the hard work Rebecca.🇦🇺💖👩🏼🎨🎅 PS. Rebecca, you know that it hasn't been an easy year for me, but don't forget that your gift will eventually get to you. Just as long as you don't try to sell it on eBay! I've seen it for well over US$1,000 plus shipping! Now that I'm feeling a tad stronger, it shouldn't be much longer now. I'll let you know when it's on its way. So sorry for the wait, Kris.❤
Huh, Lethal changed manufacturer? Wow. That went under the radar. Dior has done nothing to attract my attention in the last 2 years. I'll never let go of my Bayadere and Riviera quints. Last of their better formula. Glam Raider has really upped their game. I hope they bring on board more indie brands like Cosmic Brushes. I dabbled into Glaminatrix this year and found I loved their lipsticks the most. Slept on product.
Lethal changed their formula? That may explain that several shadows exploded in a palette I got from them and then their customer service was abysmal. After promising to sort things out, they ghosted me. I'm pissed and can't bear to touch the palette now. Sydney Grace is extremely generous with added gifts in their parcels and will combine purchases into one package to help with shipping, in addition to their shadows being beautiful. They have the absolute best customer service! I didn't know that Clionadh was in Canada. I will have to check that out. Maybe the shipping will be manageable then.
@CatKim2 My shadows from the Avatar Collection arrived in smithereens. I reached out to Lethal and they ridiculously want me to take photos of the shadows when already pressed back into place and cleaned. I gave them a complete rundown on how I applied the shadows and in what order, but that's still not enough. How can I take photos of matte shadows that never adhered to another on my lids? I have purchased every palette and single shadow that they had released, yet this is the lack of service I get. I asked those reviewing the Spellcraft Palette how they felt and each stated that the mattes were dry and the shimmers flakey. Notice how none of the TH-camrs who got PR bothered to mention these clear differences in formula? Lethal have no issue gifting free products to Content Creators, but treat those of us who pay full-price like dirt under their shoes. I'm disgusted with them. I haven't gone near those four pathetic palettes either. I'm furious about their lack of caring after how long I've been loyal for. I don't even feel like using any of their products again after this. I found Sydney Grace was prohibitive due to their shipping. Even when adding extra palettes, the shipping just goes up. To Australia, I highly recommend Clionadh who hand make their shadows in Canada. Their Customer Service is top notch. Cosmic Brushes is also very well priced for their products and shipping from the UK. I just received five palettes from them, all in one piece without issue. They are stunning! Very impressed by both brands. Even though Cosmic Brushes do have their shadows made in China, the formula is miles better than the rubbish that Lethal is serving up now. I've received one of my orders that were held up by the postal strike in Canada, with two more to come, although quite soon. Their shadows are extremely good and I couldn't emphasise this enough. They even apologised for the strike, even though it was not their fault. The most lovely people and I will most definitely be returning for future purchases. Their Black Friday Sale was amazing! Something to save your pennies for. The savings were terrific. This is embarrassing to admit, but I've never tried Glaminatrix, despite being an Aussie brand. I did order from their Boxing Day Sale and purchased 12 shadows in two bundles for only AUD$91.00! Waiting for their arrival. I'm totally done with Lethal. The also deceivingly put 'made in PRC' on the palettes. Many do not recognise this as meaning 'People's Republic of China'. They only mentioned the change of manufacturers in a video that they released, so if you didn't see this, you wouldn't know what was going on. The last palettes that they made were Midnight Serenade and Mellow Grove. Everything after these are PRC. I still can't understand why brands who rave about being vegan, will still have products made in the very country that kept animal testing on the table and actually defend them, as Lethal did to me! Please spread the word so that others are informed about what is happening.💖
@@kateaye3506 Lethal did fly under the radar with that move. It was mentioned once during one of their releases in a YT video. The last palettes that they made in Germany are Midnight Serenade and Mellow Grove. Everything since then are made in China (PRC - People's Republic of China). They didn't even bother to source out a halfway decent manufacturer. My shimmer shades were flakier than those from Oden's Eye. I don't even want to go near those Avatar Palettes. Even the mattes were so dry that they wouldn't adhere to my lids. Never, in the decades of using make-up, have I experienced anything remotely as bad as these disasters. I've been so shocked by how many aren't aware of this, that I'm telling all that I can. Naturally, those who get PR somehow never noticed something so obvious than this clear change in formula. Makes one wonder what goes on behind the scenes. Now that Spellcraft is released, they still haven't caught on.🤷🏼♀️ After all the money I spent on that brand and they're still wanting more evidence to prove how bad the palettes are! Not good enough. Dior has lost a great deal of my business too, after the reformulations. The last palette that I purchased was the older Quint of Denim. I've only now purchased the two Quints from Christmas, but still haven't used them as I've been confined to bed with a migraine. I liked the look of the Plan de Paris Collection, but they were priced over $20.00 dearer, per Quint. I have a set limit that I will not pass, especially when I know that the item is not worth that money. That's why I've refused to ever pay full-price for anything from Tom Ford. It's now up to $163.00 for the most recent Quads, $160.00 for the other regular ones. I was looking at Mecca recently and they have fifteen different regular Tom Ford Quads. I own ten of these and never paid anything remotely close to these prices. I've paid from between $40.00 (Honeymoon) to about $104.00 at the most on a certain second hand market site, although the majority of items are completely brand new on this entire site. Maybe half have come from the US, but all others from Australia. You should see the discoveries I've made there! I wasn't aware that Glam Raider was stocking Blend Bunny until I noticed it on a Google search. It would be fantastic if other brands also sold their stock from there, especially those Indie Brands from the US who purposely over-charge on shipping like Ensley Reign, Unearthly and endless others. At least Cosmic Brushes are reasonable in their shipping costs, as are Clionadh who have replaced Lethal for me. They have been wonderful, even throughout the postal strike that started on November 15th. I've recieved two orders so far and I'm thoroughly impressed by the products and the service. Two more orders coming, one in a few days and the other not long afterwards. Despite the back log of piled up orders, they are still getting orders to me from Canada to rural Australia in roughly two weeks. This is over the Christmas/New Year period too, which makes me even more impressed by them. Even Cosmic Brushes were very fast from the UK, with two arriving prior to Christmas. I did purchase from Karla Cosmetics at Glam Raider prior to their Birthday Sale. These multichromes are far from cheap! I did like the mousse texture gel and purchased six eventually. I also bought four of the pressed powder shadows too. To my horror, they increased the prices of the powdered shadows from $44.00 to $58.00!, just before Black Friday. That's the cost of two of Clionadh's highest priced shadows together. As nice as these are, they are not worth that massively high price. They aren't that good to warrant this. Glaminatrix was on my radar, but I'm embarrassed to admit that I hadn't yet purchased anything from them. I was watching one of Milly's (Badtothebrow) videos on her top choices for last year. This included a shadow from Glaminatrix. I went to their website to discover their Boxing Day Sale was in full swing. The reductions were very good and I finally took the plunge. The last thing I need is more make-up, but I was able to purchase two six pan bundles for just $91.00. Looking forward to trying these. With all of the multichromes arriving, it's going to be hard to learn them all and then try them, as well as all of the other items coming in. Well, that should be everything covered. I'd definitely try Clionadh if you haven't already. They are beautiful and I never had any issues with wear. Another hot one today, although I still have my fan going at 0430hrs. Take care and keep cool.💖

Happy birthday, Rebecca! Thank you so much for your advice and reviews. A quick story. When my one granddaughter was five I let her play with some of my makeup but made sure she stayed away from the Chanel. I had her with me at a department store. She recognized the logo and exclaimed Chanel. The clerk was so impressed that she gave my granddaughter a good amount of samples.
I got insanely excited about the results! So much fun:) Happy New Year and Happy Birthday, Rebecca!!! And thank you so much for the whole year of fun. Big hugs from the UK 🥰

Hi Rebecca, happy new year to you and your family, I very much appreciate all your hard work and honesty that you put into this video, my favourite brands and most used in 2024 are Natasha Denona, Rare Beauty, and Dior ( eyeshadow, blush,& foundation-for my oily ,mature skin). Katherine xoxo
Happy birthday, Rebecca🎉❤ this was a fantastic video and thank you so much for all your work you put in every day. Wishing you a successful 2025 happy new year.😊❤
Loved participating in the poll and this video, Rebecca! One thought I had and I'm not sure if it's possible with the Google functionality is making either a third option for some of the questions in the future (in store shopping or online - I do quite a bit of both) or cream or powder (I layer products). Just a useless thought from someone who was trained in survey design or the peanut gallery... Can't wait to watch you in 2025!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY🎉🎉 You look lovely!! The lip shade is perfect on you🌸Yay! I love this series. Next year I am getting a Byredo palette. Hahaha the Milk Jelly was at least different, lol but I didn’t get it. Yes, the Patrick Ta duos were embarrassing! I am surprised the Dolce and Gabanna chain eye shadow didn’t win! Why am I surprised Chanel lipstick was the most worn? I would guessed Dior! I am getting more into cream as well! Sydney Grace is a really great makeup brand! I have several of their palettes. I also thought it would be Pat McGrath for the brand we don’t cares about. I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Rebecca-you are just a lovely, kind and beautiful person. I know this is how you are off camera as well. Thank you for always starting my day so wonderfully! You bring me such immeasurable joy.🌸 HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOUR SWEET FAMILY 🎊
Happy Birthday and New Year from Ireland Rebecca , not 2025 here.... I must be in the minority, I loved the still at the club by Patrick Ta lol..... Hope 2025 will be a good year for you
We all still have our pallet collections that we need to use before they go bad. I dont believe eyeshadow goes bad especially higher end formulas last forever.
I guess my observation here is that anyone who succeeds at anything and becomes popular in the current world also is going to attract a lot of serious criticism and hate, and that people who put themselves out there need to be psychologically prepared for that. And that more than anything else, having a constitution that is strong enough not to be upset by that happening seems to be becoming a real prerequisite for being successful at doing anything. Huh.
I don’t know why people are whining so much about Patrick Ta’s eyeshadow duos. I love them and, for Christ’s sake, they are not that freaking expensive for what makeup is going for these days. I just don’t get the hate. Not warranted!
Bedankt
This is incredibly kind. Thank you so much for your support and friendship

Thanks for the hard work Rebecca.🇦🇺💖👩🏼🎨🎅
PS.
I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! Your feedback is so valuable, and I always appreciate hearing about your beauty journey.
Always look forward to this video at the end of every year. So much fun to see what others think!

That’s so sweet. It’s all about sharing the love of beauty, right?
I spent money on Chanel and it was worth every penny.
Totally

Well that perfume is absolutely delightful
Hi Rebecca, happy new year to you and your family, I very much appreciate all your hard work and honesty that you put into this video, my favourite brands and most used in 2024 are Natasha Denona, Rare Beauty, and Dior ( eyeshadow, blush,& foundation-for my oily ,mature skin). Katherine xoxo

Thank you so much! Wishing you a wonderful 2025 too.
Happy Birthday-Happy New Year… I hope 2025 is wonderful for you!
Thank you! You too!
This is a tremendously excellent recommendation and I will absolutely take your advice. I am grateful for it.
Happy Birthday Rebecca!! 🎉
Thank you!
Happy Birthday!🎁🥳🎉🎂🥂😘❤️. Thank you for being here!
Thank you so much! It means the world to me
As you read the results, I kept saying "oh yeah, I forget about that one!" I think most of us have similar opinions, which is cool for a community 😊
Right?! I love that about the beauty community!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY🎉🎉
You look lovely!!
You bring me such immeasurable joy.🌸
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOUR SWEET FAMILY 🎊
I adore you. Thank you so much!!!
Happy Birthday and New Year from Ireland Rebecca , not 2025 here.... I must be in the minority, I loved the still at the club by Patrick Ta lol..... Hope 2025 will be a good year for you
Thank you! It's definitely a good one!
Happy Mew Year ❤ Can’t wait to follow you in 2025. Kisses
How kind of you!!!!
We all still have our pallet collections that we need to use before they go bad. I dont believe eyeshadow goes bad especially higher end formulas last forever.
I agree
I took part in this as my kid was jumping on my head I think I filled it out correctly. 😂
You were multi tasking!
Happy Birthday Rebecca! Such a fun video (even though my answers were pretty much all outliers 😏)
Aw, thank you! It is always so much fun making these videos!
I might be in the minority but I still LOVE Pat Macgrath 🧡💛💜💕
I do admit that it’s hard not to love her. I want to attack as well but then I try the products and they’re always beautiful
Makeup by Mario yes! It is the best formula.
❤️❤️❤️
Im doing a live grwm today for New Years Eve. Totally off the cuff and unprofesh if anyones interested... 😂
Unprofesh is the way to go!
Charlotte Tilbury needs to come out with some more new releases!
She needs to win us back!
It’s interesting that Chanel was so popular I didn’t realise it was so popular in North America.
Huge!
I always trust your opinions the most. There has never been one video that I didn’t enjoy and benefit from.
That means the world to me.
Never tried Patrick... I am simply sticking with what I know to be good these days.
Totally fair! Sometimes we just need to stick with what we know.
Huh.
That is very true. Isn’t that just so so true
It's a shame bc Tilbury has so many impeccable products. They need to calm down with their weird marketing.
Their marketing is beyond weird
Marked safe from owning anything Patrick Ta in 2024 or previous years. No change in sight.
Haha. You dodged it!
I don’t know why people are whining so much about Patrick Ta’s eyeshadow duos. I love them and, for Christ’s sake, they are not that freaking expensive for what makeup is going for these days. I just don’t get the hate. Not warranted!
People sometimes bully one particular brand or product and it builds. Weird, I know. It's like a high school lunch yard.
