I picked the Dior foundation up yesterday so I got to apply it with you this morning, and wow! It was so easy to apply, smooth and quick, and I love the natural look it's giving. My own wear test is just beginning, but what a pretty start. And, I hope your new year is off to a great start! 💜💜💜
My skin is fairly normal, occasionally dry (and almost 59), and it looks very natural to me. I feel like it could be good for more oily skin too. I am several hours in and liking it a lot so far!
@allisonb88 where did you get it? I don't live in the US but have a friend traveling and she's gone to Ulta, tried ordering online from Ulta and can't get it!
@@cabrooker I did get it in person at Ulta, but it was strange. They only had a display, no stock out. The sales associate asked what shade I wanted and went in back to find it, which she did, but then at checkout they (almost) couldn't ring it up -- she actually said "I don't think we can sell this to you." Happily, she figured it out, but that does make me think they weren't/aren't fully set up to sell it? That was on January 1st. I hope they get it worked out while your friend is traveling! I do still really like it!

@ I’m hoping that by the end of the year, not only will I have saved a ton of money, but that I will have narrowed down what I really want(ed) and found stuff in my VAST collection that I like just as well. You are right. Of everything out right now, that foundation is the most tempting. But I have so many open foundations, it would be criminal to add another. I’ll let you know how I am doing. I’m keeping a list of what I would buy if I weren’t on a no buy and the costs. So far so good, but it is day THREE!
I tested the foundation in person at Ulta yesterday. I found the fragrance to be noticeable, but I am VERY sensitive to fragrance. Also, the cool rosy shades don't start until 2 CR. I really wish there was a 1 CR. Still, the hyaluronic acid element is intriguing. I'm tempted to try it since it's getting great reviews from you & others. Looks great on you!

Praying to gods the nude foundation is like the one they discontinued back 10 years ago. At that time I don’t ever remember dior being so fragrant with their make up… nowadays everything they come out with is too heavy with the smells Btw it looks great on you!!

Totally different. This is thin almost gel like and second skin whereas the stick is a much thicker application, fuller coverage and more traditional feel. Both lovely but night day different
The Natural Nude predecessor was really nice but not widely available. Ugh, Dior bothers me with the 0 to 1 shade. We need a 0.5. I’m the ideal Dior customer, so not one that’s whipping out a palette and mixing 2 shades daily and not going too light and “making it work” by piling on bronzer. 😢 How does the texture compare to the Star Filter?
I echo you. I love love love the foundation stick, but ON is too light, 1N is too much and it oxidizes. 1CR is too pink. I almost bought 1W too. So I draw both 0&1 N and blend. I hate the fuss. I’m super sad it’s the case also with this formula… may be it’ll be more forgiving like star filter. And we can just roll w O or 1?
@ I do the same thing with the stick. I have always had to mix with Dior shades so they are never my favorite. If you want sheer to light coverage one I would think one shade in this would work. I like more than that level. Possibly shade 1 in this with 0 in star filter mix would work? I may try but thats still mixing 🥴

I like this one better. It’s a little thinner with the same amount of medium coverage and becomes very second skin whereas the natural nude, which is also gorgeous, is much more of a traditional feeling foundation. Both are lovely but it’s just personal preference
Any thoughts on this new foundation versus the Dior stick for someone with super oily skin? I didn’t get the stick yet because the 2.5 is out of stock everywhere. Now with this new one that makes me think maybe the Hydra might be better.
I would prefer this one with oily skin to the stick. The stick is a little bit thicker and I feel like foundations can be a little tricky with oily skin to be honest.
Where are the olive shades Dior? They have the most wonderful olive shades and they are not making this nor the stick in those shades and that makes me sad because I can’t try these new products. @ I’m thinking that with some of this new stuff maybe they are waiting to see if the product is popular before releasing all the shades? At least I hope so. I dont wear foundation all over, only spot conceal where I’m a bit red so it has to match perfectly! No fudging it. I use the Dior concealer in 2wo and it’s perfect.

They are both medium. The Prada is a little bit more of a traditional foundation. This one is a little bit creamier and feels a bit more second skin. They are both absolutely lovely
How does this foundation stack up against the Prada foundation? I initially loved my Prada foundation, but then I realized that it started to have poor lasting power and would just wipe off my face.
I think you’re gonna like this one better. It has the same creaminess but the product is much more of a traditional foundation in every sense and this one is like a combination of a creamy traditional foundation and a serum foundation so it really has a lot more longevity

Dior is going backwards on the shade range inclusivity and no one is mentioning it. They took out pretty much all undertones besides neutral in the stick foundation and in this one. What is going on here? I’m a cool tone so I guess I’m out for this foundation too, and definitely cannot wear the orange shades in the stick foundation. I guess that 2016 energy has left the building.

I don’t know if I’m the one to ask about the Lisa Eldridge as, on me, I felt like I was splashing water on my face and I can’t even see it. It is definitely my least favorite product. This one is creamier and a little bit richer than the Lisa product and provides a bit more coverage but it definitely has the same feel on the skin.

How does this foundation stack up against the Prada foundation? I initially loved my Prada foundation, but then I realized that it started to have poor lasting power and would just wipe off my face.
I think you’re gonna like this one better. It has the same creaminess but the product is much more of a traditional foundation in every sense and this one is like a combination of a creamy traditional foundation and a serum foundation so it really has a lot more longevity

Dior is going backwards on the shade range inclusivity and no one is mentioning it. They took out pretty much all undertones besides neutral in the stick foundation and in this one. What is going on here? I’m a cool tone so I guess I’m out for this foundation too, and definitely cannot wear the orange shades in the stick foundation. I guess that 2016 energy has left the building.

I don’t know if I’m the one to ask about the Lisa Eldridge as, on me, I felt like I was splashing water on my face and I can’t even see it. It is definitely my least favorite product. This one is creamier and a little bit richer than the Lisa product and provides a bit more coverage but it definitely has the same feel on the skin.
