- I explore the Stourbridge extension canal that was built to serve mines in the kingswinford area although the canal was connected to the Stourbridge line it was independent from it . the canal opened in 1840 and it becomes abandoned in 1935 . I find some of the old remains during the video such as the lock and much more up to Bromford bridge where evidence of the canal becomes lost as it's under houses. the GWR line also runs close by the side of the canal

Thanks bud hope your all well 😁 a great explore for you if ever get time I found some old bottles down there from 1950
Good video mate, i use to walk to there from the bonded warehouse via wordsley basin and though into buckpool nature reserve
Thanks mate lovely walk tbh I'm gonna have a look at buckpool nature reserve on Thursday never been round that part think parts used to be colliery grounds in the old days
@@MidlandsOutdoors @MidlandsOutdoors nice one mate, there's a stream that goes through it, go through the entrance near the Samson and lion pub, go all the way down and turn right and its bit down there. You'll come across a field which takes you to the old train line, very peaceful and yes I think it use to be
@@chelseafcdy8 I'll take a look bud planning to do a video on it should be good that railway is cool tho how the tracks are still intact planning to cover that in a separate video at a later date
