I enjoyed that film thanks, although at the start I thought it was a bit tedious to see all the stops between London and Birmingham. I've never been to Stourbridge Town but will put it on my list next time I treat myself to an all-line rover ticket. The Junction station looks very attractive, and I think a grand departure would be to take the Chiltern train down to London Marylebone. Well done for adding the historical interest, too.
I had thought of doing the class 68 back, but I would have got back home very late. May do the journey to Stourbridge that way next time I go to the area
I do hope that the Class 139 Parry People Mover doesn’t get replaced. They are very ideal reliable small bus like trains operating the Stourbridge Town branch line.
Congratulations to George the station cat for winning the world Cup of stations, we have 2 Station Cats in Huddersfield felix and bolt, felix and bolt are on Facebook etc, felix also has 2 books published, George is a lovely cat too, will have to look him up on Facebook, he's such a cutie
Great, so comprehensive that I don't have to go there myself. I notice that the branch is so short it offers a 10 minute service using a single unit! I hope the driver has other duties...
New subscriber , Melbourne , Australia ...seems that a few stations over there have cats from what I've read ! I have done railway content on my own channel ! Building up takes time ! I never thought I'd make about 350 subscribers !
When the train leaves Stourbridge Junction towards Birmingham, it turns right into a 15mph bend. But the line also carries straight on. How many trains use that 'straight on' line, or is it just for freight?
I did'nt really have the local knowledge to realise that was an option. However when I revisit in the future I will probably use Chiltern from Marylebone.
"Take care on the stairs". Most people do. Only 3-yr-olds need to be told this. "Don't rush". Why not? Maybe I want to rush. What's it got to do with you? What a ghastly little place - not a soul to be seen unless the cat has a soul. Worse than East Croydon and that's saying something.
Great video! Your channel needs so much more attention. I love how the dot matrix display says ‘1 carriage’.
Thank you very much and yes that is quite an unusual display!
Thank you for a lovely video, Not been back there for years as I now live in Devon. spent many happy times there trainspotting when I was a boy.
You are most welcome.
Stourbridge bird song is incredible
Came here for George, stayed for the railway info. 🐱
Thank you very much!!
That was really fascinating, thank you
May 2024. My orange and white cat Pippin watched the video of George with intense interest. I also enjoyed this excursion.
Many thanks to you and Pippin!!
That was interesting and fun to see George!
He is a character that's for sure!
Really.. I was bored all the way through... It was like work training video.. a sleepfest... I nearly fell asleep twice 😂
Aww George 🥰🥰🥰
Lovely place and George the cat is just the cutest ever ❤🐾😽
Looking forward to seeing more of him and all his friends at the station. Great video 👍

Love that book swap idea! Would be great to have these in London
It is surprising how many I have found in stations I've visited recently, although mainly in rural locations. Thanks for watching.
@@RainhamRailEnthusiast My pleasure. Great video.

Thanks for watching, there are two drivers, they take turns checking tickets and driving the service!
Ride quality looks like it's significantly improved on the branch with the renewed track :-)
It wasn't too bumpy at all, I had heard it was a little rough before, so was glad to see it re-tracked. Thankyou for watching.
❤
Nice video! Liked and subbed

It sure does take time! Thankyou for watching, will take a look at your channel 🙂
Superb Bro. We need to see if we can do a collaboration video up here :-)

My belief is it's just freight, however I think there is/was a campaign to open it up to passenger traffic. www.stourbridge.com/stourbridge-line.htm
@@RainhamRailEnthusiast Stourbridge is my home town and i believe its all trains but nit 100% sure
Why did you walk to Snow Hill,? You could have changed trains at Smethwick Galton Bridge
I did'nt really have the local knowledge to realise that was an option. However when I revisit in the future I will probably use Chiltern from Marylebone.
Isn't the People Mover running on LPG?
Yes they do, in a modified ford diesel engine, to add initial power to the flywheel and to power the other electrics on the train.
Stupid face masks
And why is that?? Unless you are exempt.

And what an unnecessarily sour comment, if I may say so.
