I’ve owned 11 Seadoos in the past decade. I think the fishing model is best suited for the ocean fishing folks. On the lake I’d need some kind of trolling set up. The jet intake sucks in shallow waters, plus even when you are in neutral it’s pretty loud and agitates the water. If I lived in the Gulf, I’d launch and drive out 10-20 miles on one and fish the oil rigs. To troll shoreline to target bass is useless imo unless you are ledge fishing pretty deep for bass
Completely agree, not great for inland lakes from my experience. A real lack of boat control which makes a lot more of a difference in these situations. Floating/drifting is the best way to go on this as Jay quickly figured out in the video. Really needs a trolling motor with spot lock and that would transform it, bummer that they didn’t incorporate a good trolling motor mounting spot on the front.
Many people have added trolling motors. See jetleds. Multiple mounting options...
Fish pro has a built in trolling mode.

That anchor was supposed to come with a rope and maybe a buoy as well. I feel like your local dealer could get that on warranty assuming you didn’t steal it for another use yourself.
The rope was in the video.....comes from factory in the main cargo compartment.
Welp now we can look forward to all the tricked out skidoos, aquatraction gonna get in on that game too?

They are a nice rig. I looked at them. They serve a great purpose. But will never replace a boat. I would bake in the sun sitting on that thing all day. It would be no fun in rough water etc. You will have to pick your days, that for sure. But I think Seadoo nailed it with this unit.
actually, big heavy bugger does pretty well even when it's snapping white caps at you.... too fast and you get slapped in the taint by the boat repeatedly tho. I was really astounded how different it is to the old school smaller jet skis. DOES get pretty toasty in the sun once it's above 100 tho. As with anything, there's drawbacks and big pluses...
@@UncleBildo i got mine a month ago. Has 5 fishing rod holders from factory....... 4 for rods and 1 for a pole+beach umbrella=permanent 100% shaded seadoo
Similar to my other reply but the shade is a non issue and mine has handled waves just fine. It was designed by an offshore fisherman who is in much bigger waves than I get in FL.
ditch your cup holder and put the pole holders up there..... I troll with two rods in holders off the front..... such a hoot to get out on the lake on, huh? Big heavy brute, but it's got some zoom. I got it fully out of the water a number of times last year!
There's 1 rod holder and 1 cupholder slot per side. so 2 rods plus 2 cups can be fit there without losing anything.

Jay as a armature drone operator I would love to see how you land the drone on the seadoo or boat, I myself have to grab its landing gear while its flying, is this what you do ?
Either get a small landing spot and always have the drone pointing towards the wind ( like a bird lands on water or a plane lands at an airport ). Or, go in to auto land mode and make sure to catch it as it comes down 😂

Used to work for a seadoo dealer. That this is nice! Only problem.. overpriced as f, guzzle gas like no tomorrow. You could get a nice 12 inch aluminum boat with a 9.9 and all the graphs for less then this is worth. Hey if you want to throw a tube and splash ok..just for fishing nope.. not hating but tell us about the price tag and the fuel consumption...👍👊
Always a hater who doesn't understand what a target demographic is or the intended use case for the product comparing it to things of lesser classes. Also, 17k USD and I get a full weekend (6hours a day) out of one tank of gas or about $57 USD for the simple minded. That's with no additional fuel caddies which I can fit 2 or 3 of at 5gal/per.

Why would sea doo place weakest engine on fish pro trophy? Why not install at least 230 engine, not even talking about 300 that gtx has, why 170? And no option to upgrade fish pro to a 230 engine?

This thing isn't good for freshwater especially in shallow water, this is designed for saltwater fishing for crossing bays and going for long distance deep sea fishing but not for bass fishing it's too bulky and makes a lot of noise

In a perfect world, with courteous other boaters on the lake that won't come by and throw a wake at you big enough to wash anything unsecured into the lake, that might be a fun item, but, no thanks.
Fish pro needs more horsepower, 230 to 300 horsepower

@@JaySiemens People that say this have never been above 40mph on the water on a sea doo... you're freaking hauling at that speed and idk if you're out of break in yet; I just got my fish pro trophy out of break in and it's fully opened the ecu up to just under 60 and still feels like it has more to go if the water was smoother (im saltwater mainly).
I understand you want more speed but think first, this craft have enough speed up to 90 kiloms ,plus this motor suit long distance,fuel economy is a must otherwise you cant go to far offshore.Put in bigger motor then have huge disavantage cannot go too far out(more thirsty fuel)This craft design for fisherman that want to expore further offshore and economy not for speed then become useless to use it for a bigger motor

I hate Seadoos, mainly because of the doorknobs attached to the handlesbars that go hot dogging 100ft from the boat launch. But If i saw someone with one of these i would give them a pass.
