I just found out that Bogota is one of the few places in the world that don't have mosquitoes, so now it has moved to the top of my list of places I want to move.
I am second generation Colombian American and have always wanted to go and experience the culture that my family comes from. Thank you for documenting your journey over there. I love seeing other people enjoy the music, people and food which I have grown up with and love.
I was in Colombia and they are very welcoming to Americans, the place was beautiful, everyone was so polite and helpful, and the food amazing. The scenery is incredible in Bogota and all over. I could not recommend it more.
My mom is from Colombia and lives in Bogota, I grew up there. I loved your video, your descriptions of food and experience overall was perfect. I just don't know how to decribe anything better than you did. Your spirt of aventure is inspiring and made me miss Colombia so much. Thank you for visiting my country and so glad you enjoyed it.
I am a Colombian living in USA for 35 years and I found this video very informative. Back in the days where I was in Bogotá, the center ( Plaza Bolivar, La Candelaria ect. ) was kind of dangerous. At least a a local I did not visit those places, I’m happy to see the transformation and I can’t wait to be a “ tourist” in my own country on my next trip . Thanks for the video
If you are still in Colombia, you should visit coffee triangle. If you are still in Bogota, you should visit Parque 93 area and Usaquen. It is peaceful, lively and safe.
Fun fact on Mr and mrs Smith, with Brad Pitt and Angelina, the representation of Bogotá is like a warm city, a hot place and its not like that hahahaha actually Bogotá is cold, and the reason is the alttitud 2500 meters high
We had the chance to visit Cartagena, Colombia! The people and the culture are soooo awesome! We planned to visit Bogota and Medellin but ran out of time. We're vicariously experiencing through y'all!! Stay safe! 👊🏻
Hope y’all have a blast in Columbia , I’m extremely jealous of all the food and prices you showed. I could survive on that kind of food, and the prices. Omg, yummm
Hey Chad and Claire! I'm a fellow Colombian-American here (Born in the US) but my parents are Colombian, and I felt sooooooo happy you guys visited our country and had fun! I just wanted to point some things, that way you know for later references the circular bread or "pan" you guys ate at the beginning of the video, is named Buñuelo. And it was soo cool you guys went to like Monseratte, and things, but for next time I definitely recommend going to like the "metropolitan area", you will LOVE IT, there (super guaranteed!) Also, if you come back PLEASE try corn (also add cheese, and lots of salt!) from street vendors, it is SO good, and it's like the thing you'll get on a Saturday, and eating it as you walk. Thank you for actually appreciating our country, we love visitors, and yup, as said in the comments were are VERY friendly! Bye!
Did you really say 50 countries?!!! I listened twice to make sure you said 50 and not 15! Wow!!! That just blows my mind! Bogota was really beautiful! I know I would love that food! Be careful and safe travels!
If u guys decide to go to Europe you should go to Portugal specifically the southern part known as the algave region the cliffs and caves are amazing it’s also a least visited country so it makes it an economical place to visit …. Well thanks for all your work look forward to the next video safe travels
I have to say I really loved your video and your explanation of the things you were trying and seeing. To the point, with enough footage for us to enjoy it with you. I will be going to Colombia in February and this is really helpful. Enjoy your time there and I'm really looking forward to the rest of your videos. A few places I have looked into visiting there are some hot springs in Santa Rosa de Cabal, Medellin, Tyrona National Park, Guatape and I will be doing the Lost City Trek in Santa Marta. Hope you go to some of those so I can see your videos :)
I hope You enjoyed your trip in Bogotá, for the next time I recommended to visit parque Simon Bolívar is a very very Big park, it's like a central park style. Also la Zona rosa which is a place You can find delicious food, good beer and in the night dancing Hall with a latín environment. Finally, in pre pandemic time, the theather ubicated inside the Universidad Nacional's campus offers concerts and stuff like that, maybe for the next time You can go too.
Enjoy you van trip in the USA and now around the world! Take it all in when you are still young to climb up all the Mountains. We would like to travel but when you are over a certain age you have to plan a lot more. Safe Travels! Ho Choy! Chu Wip Ping On
No sólo Colombia está subestimada, si no su capital de hecho es una de las capitales con peor fama en el mundo pero en realidad es una ciudad con un encanto especial.
You guys made a wonderful video and you guys are so detailed I LOVE IT I’m Colombian from bogota and I’m about to go soon for my honeymoon to bogota and Cartagena can’t wait!! I will be subscribing to see where else you guys go since you guys are so detailed and accurate in your videos :)

The best soup 🍲 that Colombia 🇨🇴 have is the amazing 😻 🤩 sancocho de res or in English oxtail soup? 🍲 so good 🤤🤤🤤😍👌👌👌 also buñuelos or chocolate milo brand , arequipe
What are you talking about? If you are from Bogota you do dunk the cheese into the chocolate, and then if you are not picky you also wet the bread into it as well. That is the proper not fancy way to enjoy your chocolate with queso y almojabana o pan...
🤗You 2💗💗❕Really enjoyed the day out soooooo much food 😋. Enjoy stay safe 😷😷and remember to keep loving on each other and pray 🙏🏽 together everyday before leaving and at night before sleeping 💤
How would you describe the general safety there? People still talk about the cartels and dangers from 20 years ago - are those concerns still valid at all? P.S. - love following your channel!
Cartels and drug violence has mostly moved from the cities to rural isolated areas, pickpockets and mugging is more common in the cities but depends if the area. Bogotá never had a cartel anyway.

Is it safe to drink street food lemonade like that though? So is it safe to drink the tap water there if we’re American?
In Bogotá and big Colombia cities yes, in smaller cities no
Plantain leaves, no banana leaves. Hojas de plátano, no hojas de banano.
That bread was PAN DE BONO. It’s baked with cheese in it. Def not a mochi texture. Mochi is beyond chewy.
En la puerta falsa no venden pandebono sino almojábanas
