I'm from Blackpool. Really enjoyed your video. 😁 Just to answer a few of your points you weren't sure of The building with the phone boxes used to be the post office. The piers are owned by the Sedgwick family The 'beautiful' Metropole hotel has been closed to the public and housing immigrants for the last 2 years. It's owned by the Britannia hotel chain so it has fallen into disrepair unfortunately The 'eyes' on top of the buildings was a monster hunt. Temporary art instillation Those weird alien organ things are part of the illuminations and we all think they are weird as well. The trams are very expensive now. Get a day pass and you hop on and off any bus or tram all day for £6.60 The big blue hotel is at the opposite end of the pleasure beach with the blvd which is beautiful. Where you were was a theatre and white tower restaurant. Round the corner from that joke shop is notriannis the best ice cream shop ever!
Nice to see a positive review of Blackpool, far too many youtubers seem to want to focus on the negative issues. The inflatable monsters on buildings are part of the lightpool festival, worth a look! Great video 👍😊
I was in Blackpool ar the end of October, first visit in over 20yrs, loved it. I personally think it's not that bad at all. The rejuvenation is improving the area. 😊
I live in Blackpool its like any tourist place theres good and bad there is a lot of homeless ,many people remember coming as a child they come to Blackpool think they will find happiness here its sad. I dont live in the touristy area brought my kids here and they all have decent jobs and 3 of my kids still live here bringing up their kids for us its a good place . Thank you for showing our town :)
Great, informative and really promoted Blackpool, that park up (Bank St), is now on our list for a post Christmas visit and not been to Blackpool for years, thanks for the motivation...
Glad it was helpful! Blackpool is what it is but it truly has been tidied up, the beach and the market area is definitely worth a visit. Let us know how you get on 👍

Loved it as always. Lots of happy memories of Blackpool from my childhood (a long time ago!!) We did visit last year and although it has gone downhill a little bit its still a great day out. Thanks for yet another great video.
We took our campervan to Blackpool earlier this year. We parked towards the North area near the big hotels, and some nice local decided it would be fun to brick one of our side windows. Cost over £600 to replace, a dark tinted double panel. Needless to say we won’t be going back any time soon 🙁
@@Stchristopherofatlantis Yes thanks, we are fine now, it was a shock to the wallet though ! We have stayed since, but stopped on the campsite adjoined to the social club a few streets back from the Pleasure beach fair. Hampton road social club, all hardstandings. Much safer 😁
It closed way back in 2008, with the sorting office around the back being vacated in 2014. Hopefully something will be done with it soon because it’s a prominent building in our town centre.

Few other famous people were born in Blackpool, Ricky Tomlinson, John Lennon first wife. As for Blackpool I was born and grew up in the town in 70's it was a friendly local place where everyone would pass the time and say hello, sadly like many seaside towns across the UK poverty is very poor in Blackpool. I feel sad what has become of my home town I moved away 17 years ago, I still have fond memories.

Hi Andy and Claire, Very entertaining as usual, good luck with your test. Us oldies never had to jump through these hoops to get the bike license. But then again they had to do something about the dreadful accident rates I guess.👍
Hi ya Andrew and Claire Thank you for the lovely tour of Blackpool. Yes some areas are a bit run down, but no different from most big places. Can always tell if a place is looked after and that is the litter on the streets, hardly any in Blackpool. Well done with the screw Andrew, wish more people would be more conscientious like that. Only been through Blackpool with work. Su had an hen night there with her mates. Thanks guys. Thumbs up thumped 👍 ....Pete and Su.....
I made my fortune in Blackpool years ago. I cannot call it at all. Its got its shady places and is going down hill fast but it will never die and those who live here will. Visit Wrea Green while youre here and shout my name on the green. Glad you are OK PC.
Hello you two, just some info as I have lived in Blackpool from the age of 10. The lovely building on Abingdon street with the phone boxes outside, was the old post office and it is in a U shape, there is more to the building than just the beautiful frontage. When you were situated on Cedar square, that was the back part of it. For a long while there has been talk of it being made into a boutique hotel and restaurant. It has been closed for some years.
I’m sure you are stalking us 😂 we were there a couple of weeks ago and had a lovely time watching the World Fireworks Championship and seeing the lights. We struggled to find parking that didn’t have a height barrier except for on the road. We now know there is parking by the football ground. We drove round and round and all of the ones we found had a 2m barrier. Loved the blog.
Banks Street car park is ok, but it certainly is not the best area of the town. Better if other campers are there, so you are not alone. The photographer at 11:50 was Dave Nelson (thinks he owns the place). The high early death ratio is due to successive councils opening the floodgates to non desirables, who often bring problems such as alcoholism & substance abuse with them.
Hi. Thanks for this, really interesting to read. We didn’t realise you made videos so just took a look and you have some fab ones. Have a great evening 👍👍👍
Hi , although Blackpool is not for us it looks like the centre is having some good improvements done. There is some great old buildings still and love it when city’s / towns try and retain them and keep them maintained , think uk is brilliant for architecture and history . Abingdon bbq looked really tasty and as others have mentioned the onesie is definitely for you Andrew , perhaps wear with your lipstick, do you still have it or have you had to buy some more ? I haven’t forgotten that vlog of the petrol station ( bloody hilarious 🤣) x
Fantastic watch guys, love Blackpool always went to see the illuminations as a kid it'll never age for me. All the restaurants you 2 eat at always have such appealing meals, plus the potions are generous !!..have you filmed a video in Cornwall?..from what I see on TV, it looks very scenic and beautiful 👍
Hello. We haven’t been south much, we do have some plans to go 👍👍

Was it the fact about the royal variety performance or Andy’s onesie that does that 😂😂😂😂😂
Great blog guys interesting. we usually stay in lytham
Hi 👋
Andy Would Look Stupendous in that Onesie 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Hi Andy and Claire, Very entertaining as usual, good luck with your test.
Us oldies never had to jump through these hoops to get the bike license.
But then again they had to do something about the dreadful accident rates I guess.👍
@shottostravels hi 👋
Good suggestion for when he reaches pensionable age and doesn't have a winter fuel allowance.
I really didn’t recognise that area around the winter gardens, looked swanky. I’m going to pop up there in a couple of weeks for the day for a gander.
Hi. Yes have a good look around, it was great 👍👍
@ p.s get some ale down ya
Hi ya Andrew and Claire
Thank you for the lovely tour of Blackpool.
Thumbs up thumped 👍
....Pete and Su.....
Hi both. Are you ok? 👍
I made my fortune in Blackpool years ago. I cannot call it at all. Its got its shady places and is going down hill fast but it will never die and those who live here will. Visit Wrea Green while youre here and shout my name on the green. Glad you are OK PC.
Hi. We love Blackpool and it holds many happy memories
Great vlog again 😀who is the singer for the music? I really love it . And good luck for the test 🤞🏻
Hi. It’s a band called Houses on the Hill and the song is called World goes by, we love it too 👍👍
Cannot believe you came to Blackpool but missed Fleetwood! 😢 I do hope you managed to visit and we will see Fleetwood next video
Hello. We ran out of time so will have to return 👍👍
@ Yes next time - you’ll love it here. I love watching your travels, good humour and interesting facts. Thank you!
It's good to see the regeneration of Blackpool
Thank you for sharing 😊❤
We agree 👍 it’s time to make blackpool snazzy
Great video, what’s the song at the end called?
It’s called World goes by, the band is Houses on the hill 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks - great song
Hello you two, just some info as I have lived in Blackpool from the age of 10. The lovely building on Abingdon street with the phone boxes outside, was the old post office and it is in a U shape, there is more to the building than just the beautiful frontage. When you were situated on Cedar square, that was the back part of it. For a long while there has been talk of it being made into a boutique hotel and restaurant. It has been closed for some years.
It’s a fantastic building, truly awesome 👍👍👍👍
I’ve a big tool are you still watching? Didn’t think so! Looser.
Love watching you two. Keep it coming please.
❤
Hi 👋 😂😂😂😂😂
@ hello, how are you both and where are you going next?
@Jimbobta72 planning our next move this week 👍👍👍👍
Great video as usual love you two so funny could you please tell me the name of the song and singer at the end of your videos
Hi. It’s a band called Houses on the Hill and the song was called World Goes by 👍👍
Thanks
Brilliant guys
👍👍
I’m sure you are stalking us 😂 we were there a couple of weeks ago and had a lovely time watching the World Fireworks Championship and seeing the lights. We struggled to find parking that didn’t have a height barrier except for on the road. We now know there is parking by the football ground. We drove round and round and all of the ones we found had a 2m barrier. Loved the blog.
Hello. We really must stop following you 😂😂😂😂😂
Banks Street car park is ok, but it certainly is not the best area of the town.
Hi. I think that episode is hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Hope you guys are well xx
Love Blackpool there in November staying at the Viking for Turkey & Tinsel ❤ lovely video I have to say it’s much improved from previous years ❤
Enjoy Turkey and Tinsel, have a fab time and let us know how you get on 👍
@ thankyou i will ❤️
Fabulous video very enjoyable
Glad you enjoyed it
Fantastic watch guys, love Blackpool always went to see the illuminations as a kid it'll never age for me. Like most seaside venues it's suffered quite a bit economically during the last 20 years, I do hope regeneration continues and investment It remains a national treasure, best wishes and safe driving.
That’s what it is “a national treasure” 👍
Thanks for watching John, have a great evening
Hi I just subscribed great video interesting
Thanks for the sub! Welcome to our channel 👍👍
Another great vlog guys 👍🏻 and another trip down memory lane.
Nice to see the council trying to do something with the place.
That Onesie is a must for you Andy. I can see you next summer turning up to a bike night it 😂👍🏻
