- Lynyrd Skynyrd guitar chords and lead solo parts for Gimme Back My Bullets, a song not really about guns, but about getting the bullets back on the pop charts. Studio version pitch at about Ab but played as A chords on the guitar. This video does not tune down around the Ab, but is around standard 440Hz 'A' pitch as that is where their live versions are as well. A bit of a mystery to me how the recording came out lower, as the licks are clearly played on A on guitar. I talk a bit about it at the end of the video.
Thanks, always great to hear and play some classic southern rock 👍
I finally a while back ago reclaimed a 61 SG Reissue. It was my 1st Guitar back in 70s. So glad i picked another one up. It really is versatile & sizzles.
Excellent job on this piece of music!!!! 👍
Great lesson to a great band and song. Thanks for sharing your info with the world! Keep the hits coming to us! Keep picking , grinning, and sharing. your a good teacher!
Good to see you again...haven't hit my feed in a while
Great lesson and wicked tone.
Great lesson, thanks👍 I'm fumbling around with it and having fun. Cant go wrong with an SG.
You sir have allowed me to become a decent guitar player with your many lessons I own! Taking me forever but... The Highway song took me 7 months to get it down but it's a hell of a FUN song to rip!!! Again...thank you for what you do.
Thank you for your comment!!
Thanks!
this is great! thanks for making this.
nice job man, sounds SPOT on!!!
thanks for the lesson
thank you young man
Thank you.
They stopped playing this song live because people kept throwing bullets at the stage
For a time, yes. People thought it was a gun rights song, but it’s actually about musical bullets on a chart.
@@googleusergp Ya, he was competitive about losing his spot on the charts. They only got to 20 on the Billboard 200 with this album which is ironically Ronnie’s 2nd worst performing album but still incredible
@@stephendeck2608 The lack of the third guitar (with the departure of Mr. King in 1975) I'm sure had something to do with it.
So cool man..we play geetar..
Over 40 ...years ...and make dvd. ...movies 😅
Hey love your playing and videos! Any chance you could make a licks vidoe on 38 Special Tell Everybody. I havent seen anyone cover it on youtube.
Thanks
Great choice of s song. Love the slides down the neck towards the machine head. Is that on the A string? First one is a couple of strings together? Too fast to tell. Thanks.
Thanks. Yeah the D and G strings together... the other time he does the E and B strings together
It is the wrong guitar, but it's still a Gibson lol, also they had others using fenders this is for those that need to remember but the lesson is great thank you

Lynyrd skynyrd on heavy gain but sounds good 👍
Im dedicating this song to Gavin Newsom
You got the wrong guitar for the job
Same pickups... No big deal...
