- I HAD MY FIRST FILIPINO RIVER BOODLE FIGHT... BUT IT HAMMERED DOWN RAIN!
On this day, I head up the coast of Antique towards Tibiao. Why? Because there are various spa style relaxing activities you can try amongst a beautiful natural environment. The day starts with me driving up the coast, I then end up checking out the Tibiao Fish Spa, where I meet and awesome local called Flord. After learning a bit about the language and culture in Antique Province... I get invited up to the river in Tibiao for a boodle fight...

Watching this vlog made me miss my hometown Antique. I'm from Laua-an next town after Bugasong where the muscovado came from. We were there for a year and just came back here in Manila last April 2022. Thank you so much Kulas for featuring Antique, it was a visual feast! By the way Kyle, 3 days ago, the Balikbayan box agent / rep., finally picked up your box to take to Vancouver to their warehouse for shipment. I don't know when they will finally ship it to Davao Oriental to you guys. Who knows? Hope it doesn't stay in their warehouse for long. Normally, it takes 3 + mos. to Davao, because Mindanao is a long way to ship.Hope you guys will like it.

The 10 Bornean Datus and the Aetas story is what we called The Maragtas Chronicle or Maragtas and it has a song actually with the names of 10 bornean datus, the raja, the 2 chieftain aetas and where they settled in after that (9 datus).. It also a choir composition written and composed by sir Benny F. Castillon if im not mistaken.

Is it just me, or is Antique's beauty just a smidge above most all 80+ provinces you've visited? I may be a bit partial hailing from Iloilo originally, but if Kinaray-a country was located anywhere else - Luz, Vis, or Mind. - I'd still feel the same way.
7,000+ islands in the Archipelago and those 10 Bornean Datus sure chose a darn nice one to settle in. One look around and they had no qualms bartering their gold and pearls
to the Aetas for the territory. Not a bad deal eh?

wara takon ka ma-an=karay-a.....wala ko kahibalo/kabalo=hiligaynon...i was born and raised in both iloilo city and guimaras (before they became a province). guimaras as well speaks karay-a. i had the best of both worlds. modern life in the city during school days and rural farm living during summer/holiday vacation days.

We were there just before the pandemic cause the global lockdown , a beautiful place, I tried the kawa bath. We also visited the place that has the biggest pearl in the world.

Kulas is my favorite foreign vloger here in the philippines. Coz he did many things here like a normal Filipino way of living.
Looks like they could use air boats there in those areas of rivers.. Swamp boats we call them. They can run in shallow rivers and over vegetation with big fan motors

How I wish I will experience that fish massage on my feet. Also, I miss walking in the rain. Rainy days in Canada is not safe because of thunderstorm and lightning. Plus the rain is so cold. You're lucky Kulas!
