Great video I am waiting for my water pump to arrive.My W/pump started leaking on my 2018 Trax .My trax has about 120,000 miles on it.I do rideshare so I cannot work till I get it fixed.You made this look easy so wish me luck.
Very informative video, thanks for putting this out. Only thing I'd do different is definitely use a 2x4 block of wood. I have a small one I keep in the tool box with my "specialty" tools mainly for stuff like this.
Some cars you would want to definitely replace the thermostat with pump. They are super easy to change on this car because I just did mine so no worries.
Can the water pump cause it over heats every three hours?? I’ve got 2013 1.4 turbo after three hours of driving the coolant seems to be stuck in the overflow reservoir tank and it goes extremely hot. Let it cool off and squeeze a hose to burp it. It runs fine what’s causing it I wonder.
Quick question, it appears there wasn't a gasket put back around the water pump? There should be one that comes with it. You can use a sealant, light coat to hold it in place (red residue when he first took of the pump). I could be wrong though, but it didn't appear there was one there
