Thank you for this great tutorial. Yes, Colour to Number is the most confusing one and I have been avoiding it as much as possible! This is a very clear explanation. As you say - we just need to hear this information a few times before it sinks in. Thank you for summarising it in such a crystal clear way.
Feels like this was basically made for me after my comment on your previous free lesson about values. I'm going to keep this video at hand as help until I start using this node more frequently, super helpful. Really appreciate it!
Hello Will, Thanks so much for all your tutorials, Could you make a tutorial about creating a rug ? Using fuzz. I have weird results, especially when adding lighting to my scene.
What kind of a rug? I don't think I'd recommend using fuzz for a rug. To make it look somewhat natural, you would need to add so much fuzz that it would probably be problematic. In my experience, most scenes that use rugs take advantage of good displacement maps instead of trying to render individual strands.
Please, please make a tutorial of how to achieve realistic Scattering Effects, specifically talking Subsurface Scattering for skin. I do character sculpting in Zbrush and I am trying to render skin in Keyshot but what I get is really bad xD and there is llitle to none information of how to do scattering in Keyshot.
Hey, there! I think the reason you're having trouble finding that info is that it's not what KeyShot is commonly used for. I think for this to work, you need to be sure to have the right texures. With KeyShot's translucent material, there's not a whole lot of variables to change. I doubt I'll be making a tutorial on this topic anytime soon since I have zero experience with this personally. I'm sorry about that. If you find anyone who's made renderings of skin in KeyShot that you think look good, I would recommend asking them.

Thanks for the kind words. Be sure to practice using it so you can get used to the way it works!
