Wow, I think that’s a poor design for that vac. I think that model of Ridgid vac is designed to have that top part be removable and used as a blower or something. My other Ridgid vacs have a very large filter that you don’t need to unscrew anything to clean/replace the filter. That tiny little filter on yours probably needs to be cleaned after each use. Thanks for showing where the filter is on that model.
