Hope you guys enjoy the video! :) I know a lot of long time viewers prefer the more unedited/longer form golf it videos. The reality is only established viewers are the ones who will stick around and watch those full videos - and frankly I have more fun with the higher edited format like this. I understand it's not for everyone and I included more this time around from the previous golf videos feedback but hopefully we can find a middle ground where everyone is happy! It's a tough balance to find what all kinds of audiences prefer and perhaps we'll juggle things here and there but what I want there to be on the channel is consistency more or less. So that if anyone clicks on a video and they like the format - they can know that the rest of the channel and content is similar majority of the time. Still the channel is young and I'm figuring it out as we go so always appreciate the comments!
I absolutely loved the longer vids. Seeing the full decent into madness and seeing Datto go from chill to just wiped VOTD for the 20th time and still at caretaker kinda mood. I also like seeing all the interesting maps. Love your work.

I usually put those in the background while playing single games and have a lot of good laugh while doing so.
Yeah you kind of alluded to it. Longer uncut videos aren't good for new viewers. They're not as invested and aren't going to be as patient where as other regular viewers sometimes prefer the longer form. I kept more in this time than the last golf video and will keep trying to strike a balance, but I also have more fun making them more effort/higher edited so hopefully we can find the perfect balance for everyone
Just as a suggestion, you could have some dedicated videos that are “longer, less edited, CAHNTENT” alongside the shorter ones as a sort of happy medium but I do like the editing a lot on this channel, so really whatever floats your boat. Plus Golf It in any form is golden so

Agree with this. The banter between the Dream Team always felt like the primary entertainment with the game second. The new shorter videos cut it out and it doesn’t feel right, at least in my opinion. It also doesn’t help that the old Golf It vids were prime background videos that you could listen whilst doing anything else due to the length.
It’s harder to get invested and relate to their rage and frustration because we are only getting some of the story. We weren’t there for the whole thing so it feels off. And like you said it’s not as fun getting bits and pieces.
While this was entertaining, I really do wish we'd gotten to see more of the whole experience. The map seemed cool, and having the extended Dream Team together for a whole, coherent episode is always some amazing content. I really hope your variety content doesn't neglect that. I'm glad you're enjoying this highly edited stuff though, and hey, if it works for the algorithm I guess.

love sharking taking a stand for what matters love you fruit, love the longer and higher edited stuff fruit, love anything you make but can deftiely see the effort and quality brush on these making them mean a lot. Anything works for me so you take it easy.

Like you said in your comment, as a long time viewer I like the longer form videos like the version of this Datto uploaded, although if I hadn’t watched that video I would still enjoy this one probably just as much. Still, a bit longer form giving context as to why you were upset about Datto’s performance etc that makes the video a bit longer is nice. Not unedited, but somewhat longer with the same good editing is preferred. Overall quality over quantity, but the editing quality can still be good, ofc depending on editing time and how much editing goes into every second. Maybe some community posts showing editing progress asking for feedback would help you figuring it out? Idk. Still loving the videos! :)

I definitely prefer the longer videos. I feel like I'm missing something with these edits. Like I came into the middle of the conversation and can't figure out how we got there. And just when I do, it cuts to another conversation
