As it has now been announced online the main reason that June has been a tough month and that I may not have been myself in some recent videos is that one of my best Booktube friends Alice has recently passed away. Alice was one of the best people I’ve ever met. She was both supportive and funny. My heart is completely broken. I will do a video for her soon. Please bear with me and our close group as we are all struggling. Thank you to those who have supported me xx

I'm glad that June provided you with at least some nuggets of 'good times' even if overall it was a bad month for you. With the wife being rushed into hospital and it being very touch-and-go whether she'd make it through, I shall also be very glad to see the back of June. Fortunately, things turned out well for her, although she's got more procedures/tests over the next few weeks. Today we got the bill for her 5-day stay in hospital - it was $15,000 (!) but fortunately our health insurance took care of all bar $400 of it, so we're grateful for that (as is our bank manager!).I saw the really sad news about Alice yesterday and, although I wasn't a subscriber, I'd watched quite a few of her videos as they kept appearing as recommendations on my feed and she had a very pleasant, engaging personality and I can understand why she was popular with so many BookTubers and I hope this might be some kind of comfort to her family and all of her friends, for whom her loss must be devastating. Anyway, thanks for your video and there are a few sun emojis as i stayed to the end - kind regards, Brian 🌅🌞☀

June has been a tough month for me too, actually the whole year hasn't been an easy one so far.

I have a brotherless night coming from Waterstones. The truth is because it won the prize. 🌞🌞 for various reasons June has not been a good month. I am greatful for having a few days away in June the rest can do a runner with all the bad news including hearing about Alice who will be always in our thoughts. It does make you sit back and think what you are greatful for. Although pleased my father's hospital check-up went well .
