    This is the best review of the Eclipse Cross that I have seen. Thank you!

    Wow - Mike I’m in the market for a replacement and your introduction to the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross far out performs any dealer’s presentation I visited (all manufactures) so far in my quest to find the right car. If it wasn’t for the 11,470 miles, I would be on your doorstep tomorrow.
    You should offer this as a training tool. I learned more in your 20 minutes about these new features than I have in my visits to any of my local dealers. Thank you.

    Excellent test drive, very informative. I hope Mitsubishi Japan paid you as you are selling this car in markets outside of New Zealand.

    I have a question to ask... Does the variant that comes with the 16" rims, share the same suspension setup as the one that comes with the 18" rims? thanks!

    Can you set the mirrors to only open when you actually start the engine?
    It is too much of a dance to open and close them every time you reach for something in your car.

    Brilliant review Simon. The best informative review I have seen. I'm in the UK and 2 weeks ago took delivery of the First Edition. Have had Mercedes C Class cars for a few years. This for me is better.
    Re Apple Play. Tip. Order short black cable for the iPhone.

    Really fantastic job. I'm already sold, can't wait until the hit the showrooms in the USA.

      Back to report that I got one and I love it so much. Only two things really I can say are cons for me. That would be that fact that in the US Mitsubishi does not provide coding that allows the doors to lock automatically. That really sucks, because come on, it's a safety feature that all autos have these days. Second would be that the headrests and leather seats in the back are a little creaky when driving. Sometimes it's a bit annoying. Other than that it's a really fun cross to drive. Mines is SEL Bronze Metalic.

    What about "traffic jam assist" or anything similar ?? Can it drive autonomous in a queue ??

    Just curious, but why isn't auto-hold permanently enabled? Is there any situation you'd want to roll backwards on a hill in an auto?

    • @warshawgameshd3432
      @warshawgameshd3432 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It also does not let your car automatically roll forward like normal cars do at low speeds, this is also good for stop and go traffic as you do not have to put your foot on the brake to stop only take your foot off the accelerator.

    Why there's difference in 1.5 engine output from US version compared to Europe version?
    US 150 HP at 2000 RPM I believe while Europe version 163 HP at 1800 RPM, with the same amount of torque 250NM.

    Hey Mike nice vid my outlander has all those features one thing I would want is a nice place to put my iPhone when driving and I see they sorted that out in the Eclipse. :-)

    Great review.. Excellent brand. Ranks second next to lexus in reliability.. Picking up mine Friday (192) in ireland but have heard mitsubishi are leaving the Irish Market. Can't compete with toyota and other car manufacturers.

    It would be great if Mitsubishi brought this interior design language to the outlander. I have a 2016 outlander. Its a great car although the interior is a little stale.

    • @SimonLucasMitsubishi
      @SimonLucasMitsubishi  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Dimi, Since you can connect your phone through Android Auto or CarPlay apps you will be using Google Maps. GPS was expensive and needed regular updates so this is a much better solution.

    • @murraysumpter4236

      Simon Lucas North Shore NOT a better solution at all and standard in most new vehicles.
      Android/ Apple uses up data usage on your phone at your cost.
      No rear air vent's, big mistake Mitsubishi. Air flow under the front seats is a myth and no substitute for rear air vents NOT family friendly!?

      @@murraysumpter4236 You put this comment on every eclipse cross video 😐. Mobile data is cheaper and more accurate.

    Why in blazes would anyone need a hill hold for an auto trans? Have we become so god dam lazy that it is to much effort to hold your foot on a brake pedal ??
