Thanks for watching! I miss the 9 sometimes. I recently moved to a Pursuit, and wow is that a beast! Stay tuned for new videos in 2024, thanks for watching!
Currently living in east Texas missing east Tennessee where I lost my motorcycle cherry many moons ago. I've ridden many of those roads that you mentioned. Texas is growing on me If 'you're ever in east Texas hit yo boy up it will be awesome to ride with you and yo boys or if you guys are doing anything close to me I'll ride to meet you I love kicking it with like-minded brother stay safe my brother I thoroughly enjoyed your video and I just don't say that lightly. Thanks for watching. This video continues to bring in folks, and it amazes me being a here and there vlogger. That said, I no longer have the m109R. I also just sold the Chieftain and am enjoying this Pursuit, which seems like it is a combination of my previous 2 bikes. I miss the 9 here and there, its an awesome ride. Thanks for sharing this man, I enjoyed it. I've had my 9 since 2012. I have bought and sold several bikes since then but I just cannot part with my 9. I got the same bug and bought a Road Glide eventually, but I have no plans to sell my 9 either.
Add your subscription my friend... when I got the Chieftain, there was no Challenger. After 35k miles, I upgraded to a Pursuit. More videos coming in 2024. Yes... it's a beast! Thanks for watching!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed your video. It looks like you ride with a good group of guys. Too bad you retired the 9, I just got mine and road it a few times at the end of the season. I'm looking forward to riding next season. Hope to meet up with you guys next season
Glad you enjoyed the video. The 9 is a special bike. You can do just about anything on it and it has one of the best engines around! I miss the power at times, but I enjoy cruise, music, adjustable windshield, etc. Sometimes I think I should have kept it but it was just sitting around while I rode the Indian. Thanks for watching!
Great times, I enjoyed it all especially me and R.C. Trying to beat the Rain back to the hotel. Will never forget that run, ever. We looked like to misty comets headed out of those mountains. We would have needed 3 miles of road to stop those bikes that day. LOL.
Great video brotha. I also have a Bullie and I plan on riding to Chicago then to Atlanta from Sacramento this year. Maybe I will be lucky enough to ride a little ways with some, 9er's as you call them.
Wow, now that’s some miles on the 9! If you don’t have an Ultimate seat, I highly recommend them. It was key in my rides to NC, TN and VA! Thanks for watching...
Here in the US/Arizona with a m109r, I am in the minority. The fad for m109r ended here around 2009. I own a recently purchased 2017 and have only seen 1 other Suzuki in the past 6 years. Love the bike.
Wow way too many coincidences! I just watched this video a few days ago because a buddy of mine is purchasing a 2017 Boulevard M109R. So for you to view my video and to reach out to me, not knowing that I’ve watched and liked your video already, is crazy! Life is so funny. Anyway, very nice video by the way. I’ve subscribed.
It's a good ride for sure. In some old footage one of the guys was trailing me in one. I've since moved on from the Chieftain, now on a Pursuit. Can't wait to do new videos...stay tuned. Thanks for watching!
Dammit! You were supposed to stay in love with the m109. I watched this whole thing because my second half is trying to make me not buy the Indian Challenger. It fits me but I'm now looking at a more affordable option and this has been on my list anyway. I'm 6'5" adn don't have that many options. Good video by the way!
Coastal Moto. Don’t remember price. But I do remember that someone else ordered special and then decided they didn’t want them; they sat for about 6 to 8 months when I scooped them up! Thanks for watching
Nice video bru. Like you I brought a second bike, but mine was the 2019 BOSS 109. Nothing rides like the 9. What’s the name of the 9 group you ride with? Do y’all ever ride through ATL? Stay safe Big Bo
I live on Hwy 215 and only 12 miles from The Blue Ridge Parkway. Moonshiner, Tail of the Dragon, Maggie Valley.. all of those great roads are in my backyard. Been riding for 57 years now. I ride an 04 Intruder 1500 bagger...now called the C90, little brother to the 109R. I run a car tire on the rear and it's great! Come down and ride with me sometime. I agree...Moonshiner 28 is better than The Dragon. I think 215 is even better than MS 28.
@@intruder_ua Two reasons...I work a lot and have not made the time, and my equipment was pretty old. I had several unusable videos due to vibration. I just got the GoPro 8 black, now need to make more time. It’s winter here as well, so I am honing my edit skills. Check me out on IG to see some of the pics of adventures from this year (ranmo_1906).
Hey, nice vid ! still have the 9 ? What tires were you running on it ? That front tire looked pretty thick. I just got my 9 a few weeks ago. Wanna slap some new rubber on her. Not sure if i should go 260 or 280 on the rear and no idea what to do on the front. The 240 feels odd to me. Guys says the 260 feels better but idk. I'm coming from a cruiser vtx1800, then to a busa and now to a 9. X had a 200 rear, Busa i think is a 190 and the 9 has the 240. Just taking some getting use to. But for sure i need a new rear tire. Got on my busa tonight after riding the 9 for a few weeks daily. I was lost looking for the shifter lol My foot hit the ground im so use to steppin forward. It was odd. I need to try and give them both equal time but might be hard. My X just sat after i bought the busa. I'm gonna try to not neglect her but idk. Might left her go depending how I like this 9. Hows life with the dark horse ? Stay safe !
@@Roll_with_R.C. do you remember which brand tires you had ? And the 160 did you have to mount it backwards ? Thats what im hearing is necessary ? Thanks for the reply !
I can highly recommend Avon Cobra's which are still 130 front like the stock Dunlops but the rear is a slightly taller and wider 250. Excellent traction, great in the rain and I've got about 5k on them so far and they aren't even close to wearing down and have worn very evenly too. Metzlers would be my alternate choice.
Great video great choice and great story
You are true M109R lover and rider 👍
Thank you so much 😀
Moonshiner was one of my favourites while I was down there. So many good roads for sure 🤘💯
Blessings!! M109 owner myself!! K2WD!!

Good vid! As a 9er owner, I'll say Indian bikes, particularly the Challenger will give the best bang for your buck for cruising...

Yes, run the 160 backwards. I ran with Metzlers. I didn’t have issues until the last set where there was cracking on the side walls.
