- I have been hunting for a classic German flieger watch. After extensive research I have settled on the Dekla Classic Flieger 40 in bronze. In this video I give you my first impression of the watch I customized myself.

Just to expand your knowlede Anders.
Beobachter Uhr, means navigators watch. B-fliger is not what most people thinks, since it's not a pilots watch, but the navigators.
Most Pilots in WW II in Germany used Hanhart Chronographs Like the 417 ES Pioneer Flyback. Which also is a rather big watc, or similar chronographs fro a few other brands.
But nice watch, and a great rewiew.
I just ordered a Laco Leipzig B fliger.
Did you not buy a Dekla flieger instead of the Laco?

It’s extremely legible at just a glance. Designed for fighter pilots flying in simple diesel fueled planes in extreme conditions.

It’s a lovely case shape- flat on the back side. I’d be interested in seeing how it ages over the weeks to follow, if you don’t intend on polishing off the corrosion.

scrape at the top of the thumb looks like it hurt! Beautiful watch though. The size on the wrist looks great on your wrist size. Mine is a similar size so certainly piqued my interest

the watch looks very big indeed. I will get myself a laco in 39 mm I think.
Great looking watch 👌 never heard of this brand before I'm gonna look them up .
Nice, but why do they feel the need to charge an extra 200 Euros for the SW300 movement? 40mm is a bit small for a tool watch, I would go for 42mm or even 44mm.
The 40 mm looks big for me! I will get myself a laco fliger in 39 mm !
The SW300 is more expensive, and more hassle to install, and also it utilizes a specific watch case that is molded for the SW300 to fit. You’re paying the extra time and expertise to install them because you can’t put the SW300 on an SW200-1 case.
So you pay €200 to Dekla on all thst, while you pay some €1500 more on other Swiss Brands for an SW300-equipped watch with more polishing.
3 years on, how’s your Dekla? Is it still worth owning one?

The leather strap seems to have a scratch just above 12 hour marker and below the 6 o clock marker… brand new and it has a scratches?
