Very Wonderful! Natalie and a piano, doesn't get any better than that. There's not many These Are Days done this way that's for sure. Amazing! :edit Well what do ya know glad I watched until the end, Hamilton! no no not the musical :), but that's my hometown. CHCH TV 11 aired that program Tiny Talent Time. Cool that Natalie actually picked up those broadcasts across Lake Erie and knew about it.
I think it is because Natalie Merchant took a deliberate step back from the limelight for a while to do her own thing and many people (especially the media) have short memories. She aims for quality over quantity, with just a handful of albums in the last 3 decades. Everything she has ever released has featured top quality songs, delivered with that unique and beautiful voice. Still sounds wonderful live too. I do hope that she tours again when live music resumes.
Wonderful to hear a slow, piano version of 'Break Your Heart'. It has always been my least favourite song on that great album 'Ophelia', but this version is lovely. Thank you for the upload.
Unmatched storytelling from the best of the lilith generation, no one can compare with her wit & grace.
Yes! She has that inner focus intensity of the 60s Folk Divas like Buffy Sainte Marie, Mary Travers etc ❤
Awesome!! Natalie speaks so much truth and courage, now and always, in her songs.
How wonderful is this.

Not sure how this doesn’t have 2000 comments and 1.7 million views 🧐

October 1998 and she had never heard the Spice Girls. Lucky, or just skilled at avoiding mainstream media?🤣
