Oh, absolutely. They keep surprising me with class and decency - I suppose that just goes to show how low the industry had gone!
I guess I missed the details when I first watched the show - I thought, oh how nice they gave the elder son the belt his dad wore... it wasn't until days later I picked up on the fact that AEW has retired that belt design in honor and will be creating a new design, rather than just a new copy of the same belt. WOW.

Cody saying it's not a show... yes, he is right. It's not a show... but at the same time... IT WAS! It really was. It's the BEST tribute I have ever seen pulled off by any company and I've been around since the time of Owen Hart. This tribute topped even that one. It did. It had a cohesiveness to it and an over arching theme that you can't miss.
yes, we all WISH this did not happen. NOt right now and not for many years to come.
He was supposed to grow old in that company. :(

I watched the entire show tonight. The show was fantastic, the matches were fast-paced. The absolute best parts were all of the heartfelt video tributes by the wrestlers who took the time to put some thought into what they said. Absolutely nothing fake occurred tonight. But what really started the water works for me was the 10-bell tribute at the start of the show, which continued to a lesser extent through the entirety of the show. I was happy that I was able to watch the show after making a mental note earlier in the day to do so. What a show, but wish that it wouldn't have been necessary!❤🤼‍♂️😥💔❤

"Please do not spend your money tonight"
just when I thought I couldn't love aew and Tony any more than I do.
That right there shows how real these people are keeping it.
In your darkest hour will come order and light. if you let it.

I watched this and I teared up. I get it now why AEW is so beloved it really is a family. From all the touching tributes and love for Brodie Lee to Cody trying to get Brodie Lee Jr on the walkie talkie to find out he is playing video games with Darby Allen's dad. Tony Khan showing what a company owner and boss should be and show what a wonderful human being he is as they all are. There is love here and you can feel it so deeply. The whole tribute show was beautiful and with real love and emotion. I'm ashamed to say I've been critical of AEW in the past and I can say without doubt and hesitation that will never happen again. In me they now have a fan for life. Mr Brodie Lee we will miss you so so much and you gave all us fans so much. Thank you and you are and always will be a legend and a star.

Lance Archer is the best! He used to do shows for my friends independent promotion for a very low amount. He did it just cause he got along well with my friend, and didn’t even charge him for airfare. As he noted he had so much frequent flier miles from his many Japanese tours. Awesome dude!

Dear Tony, thank you for that tribute. Please please consider bringing Erick(Rowan) to take up the "exalted one" mantle. It would mean so much to us, the fans.

It was very nice to see Brodie Jr. have a fun time. And giving him the belt and retiring that design is a very high class act.
Very proud of being an AEW fan 😎
RIP Brodie Lee. You will always be missed 💜💜💜

This was the most Carney way I have ever seen to show love and grieving and also the most wholesome I have seen in a long time. It was thoughtful and tailored to the one who left and the ones left behind. I know many have been calling it things other than genuine, but I don't see those claims having much basis. I cannot help but think that if Jon was aware of what was done in his name, he would be pleased and touched as many who watched it were. No words I can say can add or subtract to what has been done, but I just would give the feedback that you truly conveyed a lot of love, honor and value for Jon Huber and his family. I endorse the thought that we should do so with each other every day while we are alive.

Alot of incredible human beings within AEW. I only knew of Brodie Lee once he got to this company, but I was hooked instantly when I saw how well he fit into the role of the head of D.O. And not only was he great in the ring, but hes a wonderful human. For a large scale company to protect his privacy and not even an inkling to come out...thats deep.
So well done. The love and care put into this show was wonderful.

His passing has impacted me more than any other passing I can remember outside of my own family and friends. He was finally getting his flowers and I REALLY want to see more Brody matches, it's sad and frustrating, but the legacy that he left behind as a performer and a family man will never be forgotten. He'll be missed dearly!

About two weeks before the news about Brody came my father passed away. I don't know how I will move on without him so to hear this and to hear the stories of how close Jon was with his family kills me inside. I feel for those kids and im so proud of Brodie Jr. for being so strong through this, because I know how had it is to step up and be the man that you have to be through the hardships. My heart goes out to the family and i know the wrestling community will always be behind them. RIP Jon.
