When Anthony debuted, I was trying to rack my brain, you know when you recognise someone, but can't place them...then my husband said "isn't that the guy from the 90 day parodies you love" & I was like "OMG...HE MADE IT!!" Michael & Anthony got me through a lot and now Max & Anthony as The Acclaimed have just elevated my happiness 😊
Speaking of him, he hasn't done anything in the business for years but Tony bringing him in for a one off appearance or match with the acclaimed and Daddy Ass would be cool.
@Goodb0b no he hasn't done anything in wrestling since his last match. His last match was January 8th 2012 for FSW (a Vegas based indie), his interview with SRS a year or two ago is only wrestling related thing he's done since essentially retired.

I know pro wrestlers amp it up in front of a crowd, but it always throws me for a loop when you have a wrestler with a big, bombastic voice in front of the crowd, but sounds completely different and is so quiet when not in-character. If I started listening to the audio for this halfway through and didn't look at the video, I probably wouldn't recognize the voice as Anthony Bowens. Anyway, love Bowens, love the Acclaimed, thought this was a great interview.

Anthony and Max are a mix between the Hart Foundation (Bret and the late Jim the Anvil Neidhart) and New Age Outlaws. It's fun, it's creative, the fans love (we) love them. Max comes with some awesome rap lines, but I love Anthony's reaction to what he says, 😂😂🤣 they literally feed from each others vibes. I think they should go for the Trios Belt. Chuck Palumbo could be a manager. #ChuckPalumbo

Anthony is a really interesting and charismatic person. What he has accomplished is amazing. He is really the first openly gay male wrestler in major company to hold a championship, and to also become one of the more popular acts in AEW is really inspiring. His accomplishments prove that sexuality is no longer an obstacle to success in professional wrestling for a male wrestler. He has broken through a barrier that will hopefully prevent someone from having to experience what Fred Rosser did in WWE again. I remember when he first began appearing on Dark. I had never seen him before and knew nothing about him, but I saw something in him then, and obviously Tony did too. I am so happy that everything is working out for him, and I wish him continued success.
I wasn't a big fan of acclaimed when they first came in. I found there scissoring gimmick a bit crass. Then one day I saw bowens have a match against Bryan Danielson on rampage and from that moment I was sold
