This was fascinating & terrifying !! What a shame there's no Zeppelin's.! Could we have an A-10 in WW2 next ? PS: Refuelling an Me-262 in 1917 would be kinda difficult. And forget about maintenance on those highly stressed engines! LoL
I remember a story about the test pilot Tex Johnston in an early jet, the pilots in other planes had no idea what they were seeing with a plane with no propellers. (He also rolled a 707 airliner, causing Boeing executives to have a heart attack)
Reminds me of that old film, The Final Countdown. Tomcats vs Zeros. What's amazing is that the aircraft in your video are only separated by roughly 25 years.
I mentioned on another video that GS is almost Obi-Wan like with the methodical and patient way he fights... but seeing him going full Sith is also sooo fun
Imagine the shock of having your plane disintegrate around you and you never saw it coming. You'd think it was a sudden catastrophic structural failure. That was savage GS!
I will never get tired of watching you fly around in this plane and effortlessly blowing up other aircraft and folding them in half with the artillery battery strapped to this thing's nose. It's absolutely hilarious to watch.
That looks like loads of fun, I wonder though, can a WW1 plane be brought down just by the supersonic boom from let say an F-15 or something with a huge engines flying really close?
If you flew past one in something like an F-22 going full afterburner, the shear thrust from the engines alone would shred apart a little knitted WWI plane
I'm guessing prop wash from a P-38, 47, F4U, etc. would turn them into match sticks. Plus less closure rate should = more time for target selection. I'll take a US classic, the P-47. The 8 .50 cal's would, it'd be flat out ugly! 😎 Rude & crude with a tude! The '47 could probably cross the T on a knife edge Camel, slice the wings off (one side but the pair!) & cruise into the sunset! What was that? Looked like a dam big ole milk jug!
Closure rate would probably make the WWI planes quite difficult to hit with a gun. Wonder if a Fox 2 would be possible with the little heat the engines put out.
Could you imagine being in the surviving aircraft in that first wing? Out of nowhere half or more of your buddies just seem to randomly explode mid air, right in front of you, no flames initially, no visual on air defenses or hostile aircraft, then all of the sudden you hear the roar of 30mm hellfire and the scream of a jet. I mean shit, the 262 could come in from heights they probably didn't think possible, at least by anything but maybe a blimp/zepplin. Not to mention was carrying basically artillery compared to what they had at the time.
It gets slapped immediately, no doubts Id even argue the MiG-15 has a thrust advantage while sacrificing roll rate compared to the F-86 (the opposite is true for the F-86 as well)

Haven’t clicked a video this fast in awhile. This is gonna be entertaining for sure! Edit: Oh God the screams 😂 Edit (2): Another great vid, always great to see GS having some less serious fun!
Much like the "what-if" scenarios of sending a modern U.S carrier group back into the Pacific theatre of WW2, the impact is surprisingly lackluster. Once the carrier group is out of advanced missiles and other high-tech weapons, they can't really do much and the America of the 1940s can't re-supply them. Germany from 1914-19 wouldn't be able to service ME-262s either. Sure looked like a lot of fun though.
I laughed with tears as he was plowing through the enemy formation, in the first few seconds of the video. As they were screaming in cartoonish agony, I laughed even harder! And finally, hearing him choking with laughter himself, I laughed with tears. Curious what would a 30-mil high-explosive round do to a WW1, wood and canvas aircraft? Wonder no more, the answer is epic!
That was.... ehm.... interesting to say the least 😂 I'm all up for this time travel type video, keep them coming. And the fox 4 at the end was hilarious 🤣😅
Attempt 19! Could you please bring out *the flying lol machine I-16 against the F-22 and the Felon?* Also, could you please show us ground strafes with different weapon setups from ground perspective? We all know how A10 Brrrt sounds from the ground and looks on target, some even know that for Viper's 20mm, but I really wonder how a 37 mm, 6 x 50 cal., 23 mm MiG-21 and 30 mm MiG-29 long strafes would look and sound on target!
Nice! Well done. I would love to see a Final Countdown scenario with Tomcats versus Zeros. Even better, but probably not possible based on playable assets, is the Nimitz carrier wing destroying the Japanese strike group if they hadn’t returned to their time.

So need an entire series of these, wwii fighters get sucked back into time to WWI, or even maybe a few modern fighters back to WWII, would be interesting to see
It's crazy how fast technology was advancing back then. There's not even 30 years between WW2 and WW1. As a comparison, the F-22 is around 20 years old and still the best thing available.
When ya started against those 8 planes flying nose to tail, I thought ya should have flown straight and level above all of them, down the line, and seen if your jet wash would have ripped off their wings. How cool if each had just snapped apart and fell in pieces w/o you ever firing a shot or otherwise touching them? Can ya try that, GS? Would love to see it.

It’s been kinda done in the past. The 262 will boom and zoom and the p51/Spitfire will try and turn fight. Whichever side that can execute will win. The 262 cannot win a turning fight and the prop planes would lose if the 262 can drop down from above and pull away over and over.
Great fun. I wonder how the ME262 does against modern jets in a dogfight! Is the leap of technology also as big as a ME262 in WW1? Might be a fun video suggestion for you.
