what gets me the most is the the bassline here varies slightly from the studio recording. that's how you know these people are good at their craft and care 100% about the music every performance, vs. those who don't bother to switch anything up and just play what they're supposed to

+Felipe Math I didn't like it because it felt like different instruments but the same song when seen in context with their catalog. I didn't mind this track and Cause I'm A Man, but overall I got bored. If you liked it, that's cool. People can like whatever. But don't be surprised that people prefer different things. For me, this is way behind other Australian releases this year (i.e. Citizen Kay, Gang Of Youths, Tuka, City Calm Down)

I was 21 when I first heard tame Impala; I had been in a psychalogicaly abuse relationship for years isolated and controlled.. a young employee that I managed introduced me to Kevin and also psychadelics. . changed my life. First time I did acid, I listened to this song.. I cried... The words the beauty within. The music took over me. I am now 23 and out of that absusive relationship and I am now happier than ever.. this song hit me in a way like no other. . it forshadowed everything about my past relationship and helped me push away. For that, I say; I love you Kevin Parker. You have truly changed my life.

Well, Kevin Parker, the singer and guitarist actually makes all the songs and plays all the instruments on the album, but this is his touring set up.
I wouldn't say they're "better" live, but I'd say they're DAMNED good live. I saw them this past summer and they far exceeded what I was expecting. A lot of music just isn't as good live as it is on the album-some bands just don't perform that well live. Tame Impala does.

Australia is the music capital of the world right now. No question. So many artists right now who are putting so much soul into their work. Like America in the 90s. i just remember hearing this guy on Daffodils by Mark Ronson and just being like wtf where can i get more of this lol. Tame Impala is a bit different music but his voice is magic. They should work together more often
