Hello Tommy and Peter , Hope you are Both well , Great video , WOW what lovely waterfall , The water looks so inviting , Thank you for sharing your wonderful Times , Keep up your Great work , Take care , 🌟🏖👍👍
The tour of your hotel room did not disappoint. Everything very well explained again. Everything, except the sink. I always forget what you are supposed to do there. 😁
Wow what a beautiful city Geneva! From your video you can perceive the care and tranquility that is all Swiss. In this corner of the world there are the major luxury watch industries. One of the most famous is still family-run, the Patek Philippe maison, truly works of art. Hello from R and D 😎😎
Hello, thank you, glad you liked Geneva with us 😊 You are right, and the big watch made of flowers in the park, which we showed, was a showcase of the watch industries 😉
Just normal speedos for swimming. It's not that unusual in Europe 😋 But really, as you could notice, Tommy owns so many various colorful pieces, he loves them 😁
Can't get over how CLEAN the lake water is 😮. I'm not used to swimming in lakes at all and they usually give me the creeps, but I'd jump in there without a second thought! Another great video, thoroughly enjoyed it thank you! Good to read you're safe, Boris was vile!
Haha, we swim in lakes all the time and Lake Geneva was such a great surprise, nice temperature and amazing water 😊 But of course in Greece you can just go to the sea 😁 Thank you for watching 😉💚
Adorable! Peter, I thought your phone camera was quite nice. It's not as ideal as your other camera, but your video was very pleasant. Your narration makes me want to go to each place. Thank you both for sharing your journey, I had a lot of fun. Take care and have a great weekend, Donald - Vancouver, WA - USA.
Thank you very much, Donald 😊 So nice that you liked the video. Geneva is really pretty, so we are glad you were able to join us. Have a great weekend too 😉
Thank you 😊 We are ok regarding the flooding. We were also filming about it, but we have so much footage filmed before it, that it will take some time until it appears in a video 😉
Loved the music you edited into your video and to tell the truth, I couldn't tell the difference in the quality of it. It was still beautiful scenery and we experienced the adventure with you. I still hope someday you are able to have a replacement camera for the stolen camera. I know you really liked it.
Thank you, Fran. Appreciate you noticing the music, I always try to set the right mood for a place, and it was quite specific in Geneva 😊 You wouldn't believe it, but we already have the replacement for the stolen camera, thanks to the contributions from our viewers. We'll show it in the next video 😊 ~Peter
It was a great trip in the end 😊 Luckily, we are ok after the extreme floods in Central Europe. We will mention it in one of our future videos. Thanks 😉
So nice that you've been to Geneva! We always walk a lot because we want to see as much as possible. But we loved that we were able to relax by the lake too 😁
Those were artichokes in the Garden you passed by in Geneva, but weren't sure what they were! Italians brought them to California 150 years ago and they are a favorite winter and spring vegetable here...either steamed, deep fried artichoke hearts with mayonnaise dip ( not healthy but yummy) or steamed and then grilled on the BBQ Can't be beat!
@@tommyandpeter you will love them - they are distantly related to thistles and so tasty! I trim the leaves, removing the small sticker on each leaf tip, pop them into a pressure cooker on a rack (add one cup of water), throw in 4 or 5 cloves of garlic (I don't bother to peel them) , a dash of olive oil on the 'chokes, and pressure cook for about 30 or 35 minutes depending on the size of the artichokes (medium to large). Don't bother with the jumbo size ones, they aren't as flavorful in my thinking. Release the pressure and serve either with melted butter as a dip or a mix of mayonnaise and dijon mustard (to taste). You will be in heaven! When you eat the leaves, hold the leaf in one hand and bite down on the leaf, scraping the goodness of the leaf off, cast off the used leaves into a refuse bowl. when you get to all the leaves, remove the 'fuzzy choke" with a spoon to reach the delicious and delicate 'heart'. I'll bet there are some TH-cam videos for you to check out on eating artichokes! Enjoy!
It's impossible not to fall in love with that beautiful, tidy and full of history city. It seems that one can breathe peace in its streets and natural spaces. Peter, you didnt show in detail all the dishes you ate at that breakfast (lol) but your eyes shone with happiness. Swiss chocolates are very famous. Did you buy some? My question: are there spaces of poverty in that city? Beautiful tour guys, so well explained, thanks a lot for sharing it. Until next time sweeties.
Hi Liliana, glad you liked it in Geneva with us, thank you 😉 The atmosphere in the city was very pleasant. But it is still quite touristy, more than Lyon for example. We didn't buy anything the whole time we were there, we spent zero, so no Swiss chocolate 😀 Or maybe there was some as a filling in one of the croissants during breakfast, haha 😁 To answer your question - we saw a few homeless people around the train station, but much less than in Marseille. But it's not like Geneva is some magical utopia. Switzerland is one of the richer countries, but there is still poverty, just maybe a bit less than elsewhere. The most expensive country in Europe from what we've experienced is Norway - the prices there are crazy (and there is still poverty too).
My favorite thing about Geneva was the close up of the Jet, and the crystal clear lake swim. I will be taking a swim here in just a bit! 🌴🌵am I wrong or did Geneva feel kind of quiet and empty? No exciting street life. Thanks for sharing guys! How is your home, we have been hearing about rains and floods in that region. Take care Tommy and Peter🩷
Thank you. Hopefully your swim was good 😁 Geneva was in fact quite touristy, definitely more than Lyon. But Switzerland and such countries are not much about exciting street life. It's livelier in southern Europe in the Mediterranean. Yes, there were devastating floods in the whole region of Central Europe. We are ok, we will talk about it in one of our future videos, but we have so much footage filmed we are not sure when we'll come to that 🙃
I was a bit disapointed that you didn't count the flags at 5.06 😛. Geneva was ( for me at least ) just city plus fountain until now so you have really extended my knowledge 😄. Thx!
Haha, didn't even occur to us to count them. Luckily 😀 Glad we were able to extend your horizons and show you more of Geneva. We didn't know what to expect, so we were pleasantly surprised 😊
Did you have swiss cheese fondue while there, mmm. Maybe not enough time. It's really nice in the right space, maybe up in the mountains when it's much colder at night.
No time for that at all, but maybe in the future. This hasn't been our first time in Switzerland and we'll definitely be back again. Like you say, the fondue would be more suitable in colder weather and in the mountains, not in the hot summer Geneva by the lake 😁
We'll see when we'll be back, haha 😁 But you are lucky, it is such a nice city. At least from what we saw during the 24 hours we were there. We loved the lake!! 😊
Just clothes, some toiletries, wallets, charging cables and water, that's everything we travel with. Had to have it all with us since it was the last day and we were going to the airport in the evening (back home). We always travel light with just backpacks on our short vacations in Europe.
The stairway Peter nearly fell down looks pretty rape-y. The phone video quality is fine as far as I am concerned. Hold on, Peter’s hair was blond and then it went red. Whaaaat? 😊
Who can say no to free breakfast!? How rude and inconsiderate that someone would choose to smoke right next to you eating when that whole plza was deserted. Irritating. Geneva is beautiful and I’m glad you had a good time ❤❤
Hi Greg, yeah, the smoking right next to us was quite meh, but at least we moved closer to food 😀 We loved our time in Geneva, and we were glad that we managed to see quite a lot and enjoyed it during such a short stay 😊
Always lovely to see how you explore these places. Although seeing you in a city is slightly like seeing an animal not quite in their natural habitat 😊...but you always find somewhere to enjoy and be yourselves like the Geneva beach. At the end of the day it's good to experience as much of life as possible. The airport is in an amazing location. I am desperately sad that the UK left the EU. It's made travel so much more difficult. Maybe one day we will rejoin...though I think the EU is doing very well without us 😔
Yeah, we are not city guys, but Geneva pleasantly surprised us. It was a great summer destination with the lake 😊 Switzerland is not in the EU either, haha. But it is much more integrated still, and of course part of the Schengen zone. Such a shame about the UK.

Thank you, Paul. Makes us happy to hear you liked our trip to Geneva 😉

Haha, next time when I do a property tour, I need to concentrate on a sink much more 😂
That seemed like very nice accommodations. Very clean and modern.
Fantastic, Geneva looked so clean and charming. Great content even without the posh camera.🎥
Thank you, Steve, glad you enjoyed Geneva with us 😊

Such a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing. So pleased you were able to connect with Johnny too.
Thank you, Ron! Geneva was amazing, almost as much as when we met up with Johnny in Lyon 😊😁
Wonderful! I've been thinking about you guys what with all the flooding and I hope it's not affecting you or your families/friends.
Thank you 😊 We are ok regarding the flooding. We were also filming about it, but we have so much footage filmed before it, that it will take some time until it appears in a video 😉

I love your enthusiasm 😊
Thanks, Matthew. We don't need much to enjoy our trips 😁
You guys walked a LOT! It took me 3 days to go to all of the places that you went to, without walking to the airport. Nice vlog.

I just finished your Canada series , it was amazing . And now in Geneva !
So different to Canada, but Geneva is very pretty too. We loved the lake, luckily it wasn't Canada-cold 😀😊☀️
