Great video as always! It would be great if you did a tutorial on the roles. I think that we rookies feel a little lost in terms of the movements that each of them makes in the defense-attack transitions and what roles are useful in depending on what styles of play. Perhaps it could be divided into defensive, midfield and attacking roles. Just an idea.
I hate how well knocks ball past opponent works. My brain instinctively tells me its a bad idea as he'll knock it past someone and then just end up overrunning it or running into traffic but it seems so overpowered. Even on strikes where i think surely if you have a striker knocking the ball past the centre backs, the keeper is just going to come out and claim it but it doesnt seem to happen that way. Only one you recommended that i probably wont use are the runs with ball down left/right on full backs as i have all of my full backs who dont already have that trait with instructions to stay wider but then cut inside with the ball. I want them to provide a wide option to pull defenders over there, but then i want them coming inside to pick out passes rather than going outside and getting isolated with no support as all of the rest of my team are central and i play very narrow.

I always get scared when I am adding traits, but I do love adding "likes to switch ball to wide area" so good for great passers. Great vid, keep smashing it 💪
Brilliant Videos Lewis. you are one of my go to guys for learning stuff about FM. I need your help on clearing up something, i am relatively new to FM ive only played Fm23 + 24, mostly on 24. After watching this video i am slowly changing some traits as well as adding. Im Spurs in a new save, loaded a season before taking control, as wanted to be able to sell players and refresh my squad, i have bought Miguel Gutierrez and am training and playing him as a Left Winger in a 4411. he already has Cuts Inside from left Wing. But i want to try and make him a traditional Winger, getting down the flank, taking people on , getting to the byline and getting dangerous crosses into the box. I already know most of the other traits i want to give him, but i decided to take off the Cuts inside from Left Wing, when i went to do this the coach said he has good Off The Ball, and that it suits him? Obviously if im attacking down the right and a good cross comes in but bypasses my striker and att mid then I'd want him coming in at the far post or something like that. i might sound stupid but if hes cutting in from the left wing surely thats with the ball?? Because as ive learnt in this video i dont want to contradict his player trait with player instructions. So im a bit confused? i realise that this video is 9 months old but would appeciate if you could clear this up , thanks mate
It’s an on the ball trait. So only when he gets the ball he will do it. I would remove it if you want him to be a traditional winger. Don’t listen to the coaches either they don’t make sense, just do what you want to do.

i like to add "curls ball" and "places shots" on wingers to create robben like players
Can you learn curls ball this year? I didn’t think you could last year. It is a very good trait though.
