I get the sense that Dimash is on the verge of a new chapter. He's positioning himself to move more into the US and broader Western markets and maybe will take some surprising artistic turns. After all, he does keep surprising us - and is nothing if not diverse! You're right; there has never been an artist like him and unlikely ever will be, but it must be lonely sometimes up there on the heights. He is genuinely very appreciative of all his supporters, but is too often placed on unrealistic pedestals. We've all seen what can happen to celebrities when the pressures become too great. Nobody wants that for Dimash. And it's important too to understand that Dimash is not 'just' a great artist and musical celebrity, He is also the most prominent cultural ambassador his country has ever had. These dual pressures are unique and must be overwhelming sometimes. Dimash is a decent caring respectful guy with a social conscience, who wants to use his 'reach' to send out anti-war and humanitarian messaging - as many artists before him have also done. His grand father passed away seven days before the concert in Malaysia. He was lilke a father for him, and all the family was very affected and very sad. I was there, waiting for him at the airport, and I was at the concert too, and I don’t have words. He was very moved, very sad and very grateful to all of us….. and maybe this was the best concert I’ve seen. He sang with passion, with emotion and wit perfection too, I will never forget this day. At the "gritty" point in the song, he shows shots from his appearance on the "World's Best", the show that disrespected him so badly. (Dears will not watch reactions to that particular show.) That was the only time that I have ever seen Dimash radiating anger, yet he behaved with dignity, unlike the show's hosts, who abused him for withdrawing when they violated the terms of his appearance. (He had specified that he would not compete against children, which would violate his cultural standards.) Thus the grit!

Dimash composed the song, and wrote the lyrics. He gave it to us Dears as a gift on his Birthday on 24th May. Sadly this past week saw the sudden unexpected passing of his elder father Kudaibergen, and he has a huge concert to perform at this Saturday 24th June. He is strong but even so it must be so hard for him to get on stage to sing, dance and look happy. He knows all his Dears will help him if he needs us to sing for him. Dimash has been living and working in LA for the past few months and ge flew back to Kazakhstan just in time for his Papas funeral. He has been working with David Foster, Walter Afanasiev, Stevie Mack and others. He has also been composing the official soundtrack for a new Jackie Chan Movie. He has written some songs for himself too and hopefully, like this one, we will hear and see the fruits of his labour soon. Better send Dimash that hug and kiss H ❤

I'm thinking his song was written after his move to LA as he said in the interview he had written 5 new song with a jazz and blues influence and I've always believed it's about this new stage in his life. @@Eannemarie739 actually I'm sort of putting clues together with this one, he said in Yerevan that he'd written 5 new songs based on jazz and blues, as he'd been busy travelling around and with the concerts prior to his move plus recording the official track and music video for Together and seems to have focused his time so far in LA composing or having business meetings I'm presuming this is one of the songs he's written. What a composition and what a heartfelt performance - one of my favourites along “Qaragym-ai” (2020) his tribute performance to his teacher/mentor Kenes Duisekeev who passed away from Covid. In another parallel to this song and the inherent good and unforeseen of life portrayed by Dimash is the recent loss of Dimash’s grandfather, Kudaibergen Aitbaev. It’s such a beautiful and touching video. The lyrics are gorgeous and deep and Dimash speaks from his heart and soul. I cried not because the video is so sad, but because Dimash is such a humble person who only expresses gratitude, joy and love for his life so far, but is also afraid of disappointing those he loves. Who does that these days? And at that age too? What a great human being. I get the sense that Dimash is on the verge of a new chapter. He's positioning himself to move more into the US and broader Western markets and maybe will take some surprising artistic turns. After all, he does keep surprising us - and is nothing if not diverse! You're right; there has never been an artist like him and unlikely ever will be, but it must be lonely sometimes up there on the heights. He is genuinely very appreciative of all his supporters, but is too often placed on unrealistic pedestals. We've all seen what can happen to celebrities when the pressures become too great. Nobody wants that for Dimash.
And it's important too to understand that Dimash is not 'just' a great artist and musical celebrity, He is also the most prominent cultural ambassador his country has ever had. These dual pressures are unique and must be overwhelming sometimes. Dimash is a decent caring respectful guy with a social conscience, who wants to use his 'reach' to send out anti-war and humanitarian messaging - as many artists before him have also done. That doesn't make him a saint or an angel - as some OTT admirers keep suggesting ! Where in all this 'expectational 'Halo' -is there any leeway for being a fallible human, just like anybody else?! I was there, waiting for him at the airport, and I was at the concert too, and I don’t have words. At the "gritty" point in the song, he shows shots from his appearance on the "World's Best", the show that disrespected him so badly. (Dears will not watch reactions to that particular show.) That was the only time that I have ever seen Dimash radiating anger, yet he behaved with dignity, unlike the show's hosts, who abused him for withdrawing when they violated the terms of his appearance. (He had specified that he would not compete against children, which would violate his cultural standards.) Thus the grit!

Dimash composed the song, and wrote the lyrics. He gave it to us Dears as a gift on his Birthday on 24th May. Sadly this past week saw the sudden unexpected passing of his elder father Kudaibergen, and he has a huge concert to perform at this Saturday 24th June. He is strong but even so it must be so hard for him to get on stage to sing, dance and look happy. He knows all his Dears will help him if he needs us to sing for him. Dimash has been living and working in LA for the past few months and ge flew back to Kazakhstan just in time for his Papas funeral. He has been working with David Foster, Walter Afanasiev, Stevie Mack and others. He has also been composing the official soundtrack for a new Jackie Chan Movie. He has written some songs for himself too and hopefully, like this one, we will hear and see the fruits of his labour soon. Better send Dimash that hug and kiss H ❤

@@Eannemarie739 actually I'm sort of putting clues together with this one, he said in Yerevan that he'd written 5 new songs based on jazz and blues, as he'd been busy travelling around and with the concerts prior to his move plus recording the official track and music video for Together and seems to have focused his time so far in LA composing or having business meetings I'm presuming this is one of the songs he's written. Один из немногих реакционеров, который, на мой взгляд, очень верно понял , что Димаш хотел выразить в этой песне-исповеди. Я тоже испытываю глубокое сожаление, что судьба была к нему недостаточно милостива. Пандемия оборвала его невероятный взлет после Сингера, лишив его самых преданных поклонников в Китае и других странах на долгие почти уже 3 года. Верные Диарс наверное помнят застой в его творчестве после 2019 года, он почти не исполнял новые песни, да и негде их было исполнять. Интерес у реакционеров тоже поуменьшился, так как просмотры с сотен тысяч снизились до десятков тысяч. Так что ему пришлось все начинать практически с нуля. Но я верю, что Димаш сильный , он все еще наверстает. Удачи тебе Димаш и мирового успеха, которых ты заслуживаешь как никто другой
