I love this quilt ! And because your friends all did a block makes it so special. I think that is what quilting should mean. Not that it is perfect but that it has meaning to you and brings you comfort and joy to use. Hopefully quilts you make for others bring them that same love, comfort and joy. Thank you so much for your videos I enjoy watching them and learning something new. From a sister survivor.❤️
You think the same as I do about quilting ❤️. I’m so happy to hear you enjoy my videos and that you’re a sister survivor 🤗😍. Thanks so much for watching my channel and BTW, Donna Cox was the name of my family friend who made my wedding cake😜❣️
Your quilt is fabulous! The colors are vibrant and the sawtooth borders finish it perfectly. And I learned so much from your video; thank you for sharing!
You make this quilt look like something even I can do. It’s spectacular, and I’m grateful for the honest review about how the border was made to fit. Thank you! Got the pattern, and now it’s in my line up to make
The border is great. I like how you share with us how to fix the border. The corner stones stand out just right. The he blocks went together so well considering there were 7 people working on them. The salvage project sounds interisting
Thanks Betty! I appreciate that you watched and then commented. I was surprised that the locks went together so easy too. The selvedge vidoe is posting today at 5:00 pm
This my favorite way to square up hsts . If you point between 2 and 3 you can make both cuts with no rotation. Love these blocks and your layout. No shame in spacers or easing
It looks perfect. It is so beautiful. Nice to have others colorful blocks in your quilt. I have blocks from a group I stitched with. I cherish them too.
That is a lovely quilt! Amazing how it works out with a variety of quilters coming together. I was impressed with how you remove your pins while seaming.
It says, stitched with love them has all of our names printed in the color of it blocks. We used to be eight and one passed away so the label Ends with, remembering our dear friend Pat S. I was so surprised when Marie brought those to retreat 😍 Thanks for watching!
What a lovely quilt, and certainly full of fun retreat memories and stories, I'm sure. Can't wait to see your selvage blocks! Thanks again for sharing and inspiring us!
Thanks Brenda. We have Marie (purple block) to thank for the quilt. She brought up the Scrap Jar Star Quilt when we were discussing making a swap quilt. Thank you for watching!
Glad you love it! As a group we decided on the colors, border, and adding the sashing. Another cool thing is I willbind mine in green because that was my color, this applies to each of us! THanks for watching!
Thanks Di, Your quilt turned out beautifully! I love all the colors as well as the design and secondary design. I am looking forward to seeing you make a salvage quilt. I’ve only heard of saving salvages but have never seen what to do with salvages, so this will be interesting. Have a wonderful weekend and week, ❤️ Chris
Thank you so much Chris! I will have a wonderful week! I'm really looking forward to posting my selvedge quilt as well as having a conversation about using selvedges. Thanks for watching!
The quilt top is so pretty. I can't wait to see what you are going to do with the salvage strips. In the past I've used them in crumb sewing and the longer strips I've sewn end to end, rolled into a ball to crochet into a cat mat. Thanks for sharing.
I used The Warm Company’s Soft and Bright batting cut to the size I wanted then quilted it to a piece I of percale. (Percale was sturdy and cheap) Then bound it with wide binding for look. It’s a design wall quilt and I can take it anywhere.
I quilt a lot of quilts with Snuggle, and treat them the same as a cotton backing. You have to be careful to not stretch the backing. Are you a longarm quilter? If so contact me through my website for more details, we can talk. Thank you for watching ❣️
@@sisterchicksquilting I mostly straight line quilt on my Domestic. I'm considering a backing with Shannon Minkie but hear it sheds terribly. I'm just wondering if you had any tips. Thank you for your reply.
I have so many questions about my design wall tht next weeks video is about how to make one. I did mae it and you can use a domestic or longarm to quilt it. Stay tuned and thank you so much for watching!
Did anyone else have trouble hearing the video? I thought it was my phone but I reset it and exit and came back and I still couldn’t hear it. I’ve noticed this before on TH-cam or the screen turns black and then there’s no video only sound. 🤔

I love your design board. Did you make it and if so what did you make it out of? It looks like the back of an old bedspread. Love this quilt.

@@sisterchicksquilting, thank you. I can’t wait to se how you made it.
How did you make the label?
Marie, the purple block maker, printed them on a sublimation printer. Two of us sewed them to scrappy hearts first before putting them on the back.
PS I tapped on the link for the pattern and it says it is unavailable 🙁
I’ll check that link out and see if I can fix the problem. Thanks for letting me know and for watching my videos 😍❣️
